Brit: The Covenant Between Hashem and the Jewish People<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The word “Brit<\/a>” (בְּרִית)<\/strong> means covenant<\/strong>, and it represents one of the most foundational concepts in the relationship between Hashem<\/a> and the Jewish people<\/strong>. A brit<\/a> is not merely a contract or agreement—it is a sacred, eternal bond<\/strong> rooted in love, commitment, and divine purpose. The first and most famous brit<\/a> was made with Abraham<\/strong> when Hashem<\/a> promised that his descendants would become a great nation, inherit the Land of Israel<\/a>, and be a light unto the nations. This covenant, sealed through the commandment of Brit<\/a> Milah (circumcision<\/a>)<\/strong>, is a physical and spiritual sign of this eternal connection (see Genesis 17<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

In Kabbalistic terms, the Brit<\/a><\/strong> symbolizes the channel (Yessod<\/a>) through which divine energy flows<\/strong> into the world.
