155. וְעַל זֶה בְּכָל שְׁאָר הָאֵיבָרִים יֵשׁ אֲבַעְבּוּעוֹת, שְׂאֵת אוֹ סַפַּחַת, סְגִירוּת הַצָּרַעַת. לַלֵּב אֵין כְּלוּם מִכָּל אֵלֶּה, אֶלָּא הוּא נָקִי וּבָרוּר מֵהַכֹּל, אֵין בּוֹ מוּם כְּלָל. כָּךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לָקַח אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁהוּא נָקִי וּבָרוּר שֶׁאֵין בּוֹ מוּם, וְעָלָיו כָּתוּב (שיר השירים ד) כֻּלָּךְ יָפָה רַעְיָתִי וּמוּם אֵין בָּךְ. בָּא רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, נָשַׁק יָדוֹ וְאָמַר, אִלּוּ לֹא בָאתִי לָעוֹלָם רַק כְּדֵי לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶת זֶה – דַּי לִי.
\n156. וְשֵׁם אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל הַמֻּכֶּה וְגוֹ’. אָמַר רַבִּי יִצְחָק, פָּסוּק זֶה הָיָה צָרִיךְ לְהִכָּתֵב: וְשֵׁם אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר הִכָּה פִּנְחָס, וְלֹא הַמֻּכֶּה אֲשֶׁר הֻכָּה. לֹא נֶאֱמַר אֶלָּא בְּדֶרֶךְ נִסְתָּר.
\n157. אֶלָּא כָּךְ אָמַר רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר (רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן), כֵּיוָן שֶׁהֶעֱלָה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֶת פִּנְחָס לִכְהֻנָּה גְדוֹלָה, לֹא רָצָה לְהַזְכִּיר לְפִנְחָס אֶת הֶרֶג הָאָדָם, שֶׁהֲרֵי לֹא רָאוּי לְכֹהֵן גָּדוֹל. טֶרֶם הֶעֱלָהוּ לִכְהֻנָּה גְדוֹלָה הִזְכִּיר לוֹ, וְאָמַר, וַיַּרְא פִּינְחָס [וְגוֹ’] וַיִּקַּח רֹמַח וְגוֹ’, וַיִּדְקֹר אֶת שְׁנֵיהֶם וְגוֹ’. כֵּיוָן שֶׁהֶעֱלָהוּ לִכְהֻנָּה גְדוֹלָה, לֹא הִזְכִּיר שְׁמוֹ בַּהֶרֶג, שֶׁלֹּא רָאוּי לוֹ, וְחָס עָלָיו כְּבוֹד הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, שֶׁכֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל לֹא רָאוּי לְהַזְכִּיר בְּהֶרֶג. וְשֵׁם הָאִשָּׁה הַמֻּכָּה, גַּם כָּךְ.<\/div>\n

Pinchas 155-157<\/strong><\/p>\n

Numbers 25:7<\/a> “וַיַּרְא, פִּינְחָס בֶּן-אֶלְעָזָר, בֶּן-אַהֲרֹן, הַכֹּהֵן; וַיָּקָם מִתּוֹךְ הָעֵדָה, וַיִּקַּח רֹמַח בְּיָדוֹ”
\n“And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the midst of the congregation, and took a spear in his hand.”<\/p>\n

The name of Pinchas was mentioned as the one who saw the negativity and run to correct it.<\/p>\n

God gave him eternal priesthood and from that point, the Torah doesn’t mention his name in relation to the killing.<\/p>\n

Numbers 25:8<\/a> “ וַיִּדְקֹר אֶת-שְׁנֵיהֶם” “and thrust both of them through”
\nNumbers 25:15<\/a>
\n“ וְשֵׁם הָאִשָּׁה הַמֻּכָּה הַמִּדְיָנִית” “And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was ”<\/p>\n

The Zohar tells us that God honored Pinchas by not mentioning his name as the one who made the killing. The act of killing automatically took away the priesthood from him but came back with the reincarnations of the souls of Nadav and Avihu<\/a> together with his. In addition God promised him eternal priest hood.<\/p>\n

Respecting others is a spiritual connection. We can’t see or understand the true motives and actions of others. Everyone in this world has a part in the system and completing the Tikkun of the world. We should respect everyone for doing little services for us. Practice saying “Thank you” and “I appreciate…” to bring light to every positive situation.<\/p>\n
