158. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן הָיָה הוֹלֵךְ מִקַּפּוּטְקִיָּא לְלוֹד, וְרַבִּי יְהוּדָה הָלַךְ עִמּוֹ. עַד שֶׁהָיוּ הוֹלְכִים, פָּגַע בָּהֶם רַבִּי פִּנְחָס בֶּן יָאִיר, וּשְׁנֵי אֲנָשִׁים מְחַמְּרִים אַחֲרָיו. עָמַד חֲמוֹרוֹ שֶׁל רַבִּי פִּנְחָס. טָעֲנוּ אוֹתוֹ, וְלֹא הָלַךְ. אָמַר רַבִּי פִּנְחָס, הַשְׁאִירוּ אוֹתוֹ, שֶׁהֲרֵי רֵיחַ שֶׁל פָּנִים חֲדָשׁוֹת הֵרִיחַ, אוֹ שֶׁנֵּס יֵעָשֶׂה לָנוּ כָּאן. עַד שֶׁהֵם שָׁם, יָצָא רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן מֵאַחֲרֵי סֶלַע אֶחָד, נָטַל חֲמוֹר וְהָלַךְ. אָמַר רַבִּי פִּנְחָס, וְלֹא אָמַרְתִּי לָכֶם שֶׁהֲרֵי רֵיחַ שֶׁל פָּנִים חֲדָשׁוֹת הֵרִיחַ?!<\/p>\n

159. יָרַד וְגִפֵּף אוֹתוֹ רַבִּי פִּנְחָס וּבָכָה. אָמַר לוֹ, רָאִיתִי בַחֲלוֹמִי שֶׁבָּאָה שְׁכִינָה אֵלַי וְנָתְנָה לִי אוֹצָרוֹת גְּדוֹלִים, וְשָׂמַחְתִּי בָהּ. וְעַכְשָׁו כְּפִי שֶׁרָאִיתִי. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, מִקּוֹל פַּרְסוֹת חֲמוֹרְךָ יָדַעְתִּי שֶׁזֶּה אַתָּה. כָּעֵת חֶדְוָה שְׁלֵמָה. אָמַר רַבִּי פִּנְחָס, נֵשֵׁב בְּמָקוֹם אֶחָד, שֶׁדִּבְרֵי הַתּוֹרָה צְרִיכִים צַחוּת. מָצְאוּ מַעְיַן מַיִם וְעֵץ, וְיָשְׁבוּ.<\/p>\n

160. אָמַר רַבִּי פִּנְחָס, מִסְתַּכֵּל הָיִיתִי שֶׁזֶּה לִתְחִיַּת הַמֵּתִים בְּדֶרֶךְ אַחֵר יַעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וּמַה שֶּׁהָיָה בְּעֵת רִאשׁוֹן, יִהְיֶה אָז אַחֲרוֹן. מִנַּיִן לָנוּ? מֵאוֹתָן עֲצָמוֹת, אוֹתָן עֲצָמוֹת שֶׁהֶחֱיָה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עַל יְדֵי יְחֶזְקֵאל, שֶׁכָּתוּב (יחזקאל לז) וַתִּקְרְבוּ הָעֲצָמוֹת עֶצֶם אֶל עַצְמוֹ – בַּהַתְחָלָה, וְאַחַר כָּךְ כָּתוּב, וְרָאִיתִי וְהִנֵּה עֲלֵיהֶם גִּידִים וּבָשָׂר עָלָה וְגוֹ’. וַיִּקְרַם עֲלֵיהֶם עוֹר מִלְמָעְלָה וְרוּחַ אֵין בָּהֶם – שֶׁהֲרֵי מַה שֶּׁהִפְשִׁיט בַּתְּחִלָּה, יִהְיֶה אַחֲרוֹן. בַּתְּחִלָּה (הִפְשִׁיט מֵרוּחַ, וְאַחַר כָּךְ) עוֹר, וְאַחַר כָּךְ בָּשָׂר. בַּתְּחִלָּה הִפְשִׁיט מֵרוּחַ, וְאַחַר כָּךְ עוֹר, וְאַחַר כָּךְ בָּשָׂר, וְאַחַר כָּךְ עֲצָמוֹת.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pinchas 158 – 160<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon and Rabbi Pinchas<\/a>, his father in law, met each other on the road and sat to study Torah.<\/p>\n

Ezekiel 37:7<\/a> “וַתִּקְרְבוּ הָעֲצָמוֹת עֶצֶם אֶל עַצְמוֹ”
\n“and the bones came together, bone to its bone. ”<\/p>\n

Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> said he understood that what disappears first after death will be last to revive. He quoted the verse above and said that as in the prophecy, the bones will first come together, then the sinews, followed by flesh and skin.<\/p>\n

This process teaches us that God will initially rebuild the physical body starting with the bones that hold the memory of the soul. When they join together they will gather all parts of the soul.<\/p>\n
