\n172. וְעוֹד, (תהלים פו) שָׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי כִּי חָסִיד אָנִי – אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁפֵּרְשׁוּהָ בַּגְּמָרָא, וְלֹא חָסִיד אָנִי, שֶׁכָּל מַלְכֵי מִזְרָח וּמַעֲרָב יְשֵׁנִים עַד אַרְבַּע שָׁעוֹת, וַאֲנִי (שם קיט) חֲצוֹת לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ. וְלֹא עוֹד, אֶלָּא שֶׁכָּל מַלְכֵי מִזְרָח וּמַעֲרָב וְכוּ’, וַאֲנִי יָדַי מְלֻכְלָכוֹת בְּדַם שָׁפִיר וְשִׁלְיָה כְּדֵי לְטַהֵר אִשָּׁה לְבַעְלָהּ. מִיָּד נִזְדַּמְּנָה לוֹ צְפַרְדֵּעַ אַחַת וְאָמְרָה לוֹ, לָמָּה אַתָּה מְשַׁבֵּחַ עַצְמְךָ לוֹמַר חֲצוֹת לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ? וַאֲנִי כָּל לַיְלָה לֹא יְשֵׁנָה לְשַׁבֵּחַ לוֹ וּלְנַגֵּן לְפָנָיו! אָמַר דָּוִד, אוֹי לַמְמֻנֶּה שֶׁל אוֹתָהּ צְפַרְדֵּעַ שֶׁלֹּא יוֹדֵעַ מַה שֶּׁאֲנִי אוֹמֵר, שֶׁלֹּא אָמַרְתִּי כִּי חָסִיד אָנִי.<\/div>\n

Pinchas 170-172<\/p>\n

Psalms 31:6<\/a> “בְּיָדְךָ, אַפְקִיד רוּחִי: פָּדִיתָ אוֹתִי יְהוָה–אֵל אֱמֶת.”
\n“Into Thy hand I commit my spirit; Thou hast redeemed me, YHVH<\/a>, Thou God of truth.”<\/p>\n

When we go to sleep we recite the above verse. The soul is taken to different places according to its spiritual state.
\nIf a person has impurities, he is controlled by the negative side and they throw him from one place to the other. It comes in dreams as traveling to different places in different countries with different experiences. A person can see himself in garbage dumps and that means that he needs to cleanse himself.<\/p>\n

Dreams of elevation and beautiful places, homes, hotels, palaces represent good spiritual state. Rooms in a dream in most cases, represent the purity of the vessel. If it is big and nice with positive actions, then it is good message for the person.<\/p>\n

Psalms 86:2<\/a>
\n“שָׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי, כִּי-חָסִיד אָנִי”
\n“Keep my soul, for I am godly (Chassid);”<\/p>\n

With this verse we ask for protection because we are studying the Torah and drawing light connecting upper and lower. Our spiritual connection, especially Zohar study, gives us protection during the night and the soul is ‘charged’ with greater spiritual support. A good and peaceful sleep is very important to sustain life and spiritual balance. A perfect body rest can never exist without a good sleep.<\/p>\n

Zohar reading\/scanning, Ana’ Bkoach and Shema Israel<\/a> are the minimum preparations before going to sleep.<\/p>\n

Avoid working at night unless you have slept between sundown and midnight, which is the better part of the sleep.
\nKing David used to wake up just before midnight to make spiritual connections because the night energy shifts after midnight to Chessed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If one wakes up at night before the first light, it is highly recommended to wash hands, do the morning blessings and read Zohar while meditating for other people.<\/p>\n
