\n330. וְשַׂמְתָּ עֲלֵהֶם שָׂרֵי אֲלָפִים – מִצַּד הָאוֹת א’. וְשָׂרֵי מֵאוֹת – מִצַּד הָאוֹת ד’, אַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה שֶׁנִּשְׁתַּעְבְּדוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּמִצְרַיִם (בַּעֲנִיּוּת שֶׁל תּוֹרָה). שָׂרֵי חֲמִשִּׁים – אוֹת נ’. וְשָׂרֵי עֲשָׂרֹת – אוֹת י’.

\n332. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה פֵּרְשׁוּהָ בַּעֲלֵי הַמִּשְׁנָה, לֹא הַמִּדְרָשׁ הוּא הָעִקָּר אֶלָּא הַמַּעֲשֶׂה. מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא הוּא סָתוּם בְּסִתְרֵי הַתּוֹרָה, בַּמֶּה מִתְגַּלֶּה? בַּמִּצְווֹת, שֶׁהִיא שְׁכִינָה, שֶׁהִיא צוּרָתוֹ. כְּמוֹ שֶׁהוּא עָנָו – שְׁכִינָתוֹ עֲנָוָה. הוּא חָסִיד – וְהִיא חֲסִידָה. הוּא גִּבּוֹר – וְהִיא גְּבֶרֶת עַל כָּל אֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם. שֶׁהוּא אֱמֶת – וְהִיא אֱמוּנָה. הוּא נָבִיא – וְהִיא נְבִיאָה. הוּא צַדִּיק – וְהִיא צַדֶּקֶת. הוּא מֶלֶךְ – וְהִיא מַלְכוּת. הוּא חָכָם – וְהִיא חֲכָמָה. הוּא מֵבִין – וְהִיא הַתְּבוּנָה שֶׁלּוֹ. הוּא כֶּתֶר – וְהִיא עֲטָרָה שֶׁלּוֹ, עֲטֶרֶת תִּפְאֶרֶת. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה פֵּרְשׁוּהוּ חֲכָמִים, כָּל מִי שֶׁאֵין תּוֹכוֹ כְּבָרוֹ אַל יִכָּנֵס לְבֵית הַמִּדְרָשׁ. כִּדְמוּת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, שֶׁהוּא תּוֹכוֹ, וְהַשְּׁכִינָה הִיא בָּרוֹ. הוּא תּוֹכוֹ מִבִּפְנִים – וְהִיא בָּרוֹ מִבַּחוּץ. וְלֹא מִשְׁתַּנֵּית הִיא שֶׁבַּחוּץ מֵאוֹתוֹ שֶׁבִּפְנִים לִהְיוֹת יָדוּעַ שֶׁהִיא אֲצִילוּתוֹ, וְאֵין פֵּרוּד שָׁם כְּלָל, (שמות כה) שֶׁמִּבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ תְּצַפֶּנּוּ.\n<\/div>\n

Exodus 18:21<\/a>
\n“ וְאַתָּה תֶחֱזֶה מִכָּל-הָעָם אַנְשֵׁי-חַיִל יִרְאֵי אֱלֹהִים, אַנְשֵׁי אֱמֶת–שֹׂנְאֵי בָצַע; וְשַׂמְתָּ עֲלֵהֶם, שָׂרֵי אֲלָפִים שָׂרֵי מֵאוֹת, שָׂרֵי חֲמִשִּׁים, וְשָׂרֵי עֲשָׂרֹת”
\n“Moreover you shall see out of all the people able men (Seeing, Right column<\/a>, Abraham, Chessed<\/a>), such as fear God (Hearing, Left column<\/a>, Isaac, Gevurah<\/a> ), men of truth (Scent, nose, Central column, Jacob, Tiferet<\/a>) hating unjust gain (Speech, Malchut<\/a>, Adam) ; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands (א) , rulers of hundreds (ד), rulers of fifties (נ), and rulers of tens (י).”<\/p>\n

The souls of the Israelites<\/a> come from the pure side and have good qualities. They have the use of the name of YHVH<\/a> as it is expressed in Malchut<\/a>, אדני ADNY.<\/p>\n

The Zohar reveals to us that the name אדני ADNY is concealed in the above verse that instructs Moses to select only the good people from the entire nation.<\/p>\n

א – Rulers of thousands is the aspect of letter Alef א whose name means ‘thousand’
\nד – Numerically 4 it represents the four hundred years of slavery in Egypt before the first redemption.
\nנ – Numerically 50 for rulers of fifties
\nי – Numerically 10 for rulers of tens.<\/p>\n

A good Israelite is one whose actions and consciousness are the same. A spiritual connection is not just about participating in a service, but also having the right consciousness. The Zohar quotes the sages that said “A man whose inner is not like his outer should not come to study spirituality”.
