\n349. שָׁתִיתִי יֵינִי – זוֹ תְּפִלַּת מֵעֹמֶד, מֵהַטּוּב (מְשִׁיכָה) שֶׁל יַיִן עֶלְיוֹן הַמְשֻׁמָּר, וְזֶה בְּשָׁלֹשׁ בְּרָכוֹת רִאשׁוֹנוֹת. עִם חֲלָבִי – אֵלֶּה אוֹתָן שָׁלֹשׁ בְּרָכוֹת אַחֲרוֹנוֹת, וּכְלוּלִים אֵלּוּ בְאֵלּוּ. עַד כָּאן מַאֲכַל הַמֶּלֶךְ. לְאַחַר שֶׁאָכַל הַמֶּלֶךְ – אִכְלוּ רֵעִים לְמַעְלָה, שְׁתוּ וְשִׁכְרוּ דוֹדִים לְמַטָּה.
\n350. וְלָכֵן אֵין חִיּוּב שֶׁל מָזוֹן אֶלָּא לְאַחַר הַתְּפִלָּה. בִּתְפִלַּת מִנְחָה (בָּעֶרֶב) לִפְנֵי הַתְּפִלָּה. מָה הַטַּעַם? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁעַד שֶׁלֹּא נִמְצָא דִין קָשֶׁה בָּעוֹלָם, בְּעוֹד שֶׁפְּנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ מְאִירוֹת, יֹאמַר תְּהִלָּה לְדָוִד בְּסִדּוּר זֶה שֶׁל הַמָּזוֹן. שֶׁלְּאַחַר שֶׁהַדִּין שָׁרוּי וְתָלוּי עַל הָעוֹלָם, זוֹ אֵינָהּ הַשָּׁעָה. בָּא רַבִּי פִּנְחָס וּנְשָׁקוֹ.<\/div>\n

Song of Songs 5:1<\/a>
\n“ בָּאתִי לְגַנִּי, אֲחֹתִי כַלָּה–אָרִיתִי מוֹרִי עִם-בְּשָׂמִי, אָכַלְתִּי יַעְרִי עִם-דִּבְשִׁי שָׁתִיתִי יֵינִי עִם-חֲלָבִי; אִכְלוּ רֵעִים, שְׁתוּ וְשִׁכְרוּ דּוֹדִים. ”
\n“ I come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. ”<\/p>\n

‘Coming to the Garden’ is the aspect of prayer that connects us to the beneficent of God that is the aspect of the fruit of the garden.<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that ‘I have eaten my honeycomb’ is the aspect of prayer parts that take us to the world of Creation, B’riah up until the prayer of the Shema.<\/p>\n

‘ with my honey’ is the aspect of the Shema Yisrael.<\/p>\n

‘I have drunk my wine’ is the aspect of the silent prayer (Amida<\/a>) that draws from the supernal<\/a> wine, which represents the essence of the Light. It comes with the first three blessings of the Amida<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘with my milk’ is the aspect of the last blessings of the Amida<\/a> that brings the Light from Chokmah<\/a> together with Chassadim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘drink abundantly, O beloved’ is the last step that releases the light to the lower level.<\/p>\n

What did we learn here? For most people, nothing much. Even for Hebrew readers the connection between the literal meaning of the verse and the Zohar’s explanation doesn’t make sense. Yet it is important to know that even when we don’t understand or ‘get it’, the actual study connects us to the light that Rabbi Shimon revealed at the time he discussed the verse from Song of Songs with his students.<\/p>\n

The book Song of Songs is ‘loaded’ with secrets of the upper worlds and it is a beneficial habbit to read its 8 (Binah<\/a>) chapters before Kabbalat Shabbat, which is the process of receiving the Light of Shabbat on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Scanning time is probably a few short minutes. It can be done from one hour after mid day Friday and before Kabbalat Shabbat. It will intensify the connection of one to Binah<\/a>, the Shechina that is in the process of ascending to Zeir Anpin<\/a>. That process is completed and ‘locked’ at the end of the ‘Lecha Dodi’ song in the words בואי כלה, ‘Boee Kalah’, “Come my Bride’ that unites the Light and the vessel in Binah<\/a>.<\/p>\n
