Pinchas 394-396<\/strong>

While the students were studying, an eagle came to them with a lily, dropped it in front of them and left. They were in joy and Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> said that this was a testimony to the Creation of the worlds.<\/p>\n

This lily has five leaves on the outside and thirteen on the inside. They all have one and same root, which is Yessod<\/a> of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that channels the thirteen attributes of Mercy to Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The five base leaves of the Lily is the aspect of the fifty gates of Chessed<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a>, Tiferet<\/a>, Netzach<\/a> and Hod<\/a> of Binah<\/a>. Each of them includes 10 Sefirot and that brings the count of the Sefirot to five hundred. Each Sefira is also called a ‘Year’ שנה. This is the reason why the height of the Tree of Life<\/a> is said to have a height of 500 years.<\/p>\n

The Zohar reveals to us that the entire Creation is held by the 13 attributes of God<\/a>’s mercy and the five Sefirot Chessed<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a>, Tiferet<\/a>, Netzach<\/a> and Hod<\/a>. These five define the essence of the vessel and in the large picture, the entire creation.<\/p>\n

The first three words of the Torah (Genesis 1:1<\/a>) are “בְּרֵאשִׁית, בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים” “In the Beginning God created.” The following 13 words are the aspect of the 13 attributes
\n“אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם, וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ. וְהָאָרֶץ, הָיְתָה תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ, וְחֹשֶׁךְ, עַל-פְּנֵי תְהוֹם; וְרוּחַ” (The 13 words).
\nThe English translation is insignificant in this study and are given here for verse reference only.
\n“the heaven and the earth. Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit…”<\/p>\n

We skip the word “אֱלֹהִים”, ‘God’ because it is the creator. The next five words until the next “אֱלֹהִים” are the aspect of the five Sefirot explained above.
\n“מְרַחֶפֶת עַל-פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם וַיֹּאמֶר ”
\n“ hovered over the face of the waters”<\/p>\n

We, again, skip the word “אֱלֹהִים” and we see “יְהִי אוֹר”, “Let there be Light” that is the root of the ‘Lily’ and all levels come from it.<\/p>\n
