414. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה בֵּאֲרוּהוּ בַּעֲלֵי הַמִּשְׁנָה, הַמְבַקֵּר אֶת הַחוֹלֶה לֹא יֵשֵׁב לִמְרַאֲשׁוֹתָיו, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁשְּׁכִינָה עַל רֹאשׁוֹ. וְלֹא לְמַרְגְּלוֹתָיו, כֵּיוָן שֶׁמַּלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת לְמַרְגְּלוֹתָיו. וְזֶה לֹא לְכָל בֶּן אָדָם, אֶלָּא לְבֵינוֹנִי. אֲבָל לְצַדִּיק גָּמוּר – ה’ יִסְעָדֶנּוּ עַל עֶרֶשׂ דְּוָי, עַל רֹאשׁוֹ. וְהַשְּׁכִינָה מַקִּיפָה אֶת גּוּפוֹ עַד רַגְלָיו. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה נֶאֱמַר בְּיַעֲקֹב, (בראשית מט) וַיֶּאֱסֹף רַגְלָיו אֶל הַמִּטָּה, וְזוֹ הַשְּׁכִינָה שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהּ, (ישעיה סו) וְהָאָרֶץ הֲדֹם רַגְלָי. וּלְרָשָׁע גָּמוּר, מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת מַקִּיף אוֹתוֹ בְּכָל צְדָדָיו. וְזֶה יֵצֶר הָרָע, שֶׁמַּלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת מַקִּיף אוֹתוֹ בְּכָל צְדָדָיו, חֶרֶב שֶׁלּוֹ, שֶׁפָּנָיו מוֹרִיקוֹת בְּטִפָּה אַחַת מֵאוֹתָן שָׁלֹשׁ טִפּוֹת שֶׁזּוֹרֵק בּוֹ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (משלי ה) וְאַחֲרִיתָה מָרָה כַלַּעֲנָה. הַכָּבֵד זֶה הַזָּכָר. יוֹתֶרֶת הַכָּבֵד – נְקֵבָה. 415. הַקֵּבָה הִיא דַּרְגָּה אַחַת מִשִּׁשִּׁים מִמִּיתָה, וְזֶה נִקְרָא תַּרְדֵּמָה. מַלְאָךְ עַסְטִירְאָה (עֲסִירְטָא), דַּרְגָּה שִׁשִּׁית שֶׁל מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת. וּמִתּוֹךְ שֶׁבָּא מֵרָחוֹק, הוּא מִצַּד הַמָּוֶת, וְלֹא מָוֶת מַמָּשׁ. וְנִרְמָז – אֶחָד מִשִּׁשִּׁים מִמִּיתָה.<\/p>\n

\n414 . וּמִשּׁוּם umishum זֶה zeh בֵּאֲרוּהוּ be’aruhu בַּעֲלֵי ba’alei הַמִּשְׁנָה hammishnah, הַמְבַקֵּר hamvakker אֶת et הַחוֹלֶה hacholeh לֹא lo יֵשֵׁב yeshev לִמְרַאֲשׁוֹתָיו limra’ashotav, מִשּׁוּם mishum שֶׁשְּׁכִינָה sheshechinah עַל al רֹאשׁוֹ ro’sho. וְלֹא velo לְמַרְגְּלוֹתָיו lemargelotav, כֵּיוָן keivan שֶׁמַּלְאַךְ shemmal’ach הַמָּוֶת hammavet לְמַרְגְּלוֹתָיו lemargelotav. וְזֶה vezeh לֹא lo לְכָל lechal בֶּן ben אָדָם adam, אֶלָּא ella לְבֵינוֹנִי leveinoni. אֲבָל aval לְצַדִּיק letzadik גָּמוּר gamur – ה’ h יִסְעָדֶנּוּ yis’adennu עַל al עֶרֶשׂ eres דְּוָי devay, עַל al רֹאשׁוֹ ro’sho. וְהַשְּׁכִינָה vehashechinah מַקִּיפָה makkifah אֶת et גּוּפוֹ gufo עַד ad רַגְלָיו raglav. וּמִשּׁוּם umishum זֶה zeh נֶאֱמַר ne’emar בְּיַעֲקֹב beya’akov, וַיֶּאֱסֹף vaye’esof רַגְלָיו raglav אֶל el הַמִּטָּה hammittah, וְזוֹ vezo הַשְּׁכִינָה hashechinah שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר shenne’emar בָּהּ bah, וְהָאָרֶץ veha’aretz הֲדֹם hadom רַגְלָי raglay. וּלְרָשָׁע ulerasha גָּמוּר gamur, מַלְאַךְ mal’ach הַמָּוֶת hammavet מַקִּיף makkif אוֹתוֹ oto בְּכָל bechal צְדָדָיו tzedadav. וְזֶה vezeh יֵצֶר yetzer הָרָע hara, שֶׁמַּלְאַךְ shemmal’ach הַמָּוֶת hammavet מַקִּיף makkif אוֹתוֹ oto בְּכָל bechal צְדָדָיו tzedadav, חֶרֶב cherev שֶׁלּוֹ shello, שֶׁפָּנָיו shepanav מוֹרִיקוֹת morikot בְּטִפָּה betipah אַחַת achat מֵאוֹתָן me’otan שָׁלֹשׁ shalosh טִפּוֹת tipot שֶׁזּוֹרֵק shezzorek בּוֹ bo. זֶהוּ zehu שֶׁכָּתוּב shekatuv וְאַחֲרִיתָה ve’acharitah מָרָה marah כַלַּעֲנָה challa’anah. הַכָּבֵד hakaved זֶה zeh הַזָּכָר hazzachar. יוֹתֶרֶת yoteret הַכָּבֵד hakaved – נְקֵבָה nekevah. 415 . הַקֵּבָה hakkevah הִיא hi דַּרְגָּה dargah אַחַת achat מִשִּׁשִּׁים mishishim מִמִּיתָה mimmitah, וְזֶה vezeh נִקְרָא nikra תַּרְדֵּמָה tardemah. מַלְאָךְ mal’ach עַסְטִירְאָה astir’ah , דַּרְגָּה dargah שִׁשִּׁית shishit שֶׁל shel מַלְאַךְ mal’ach הַמָּוֶת hammavet. וּמִתּוֹךְ umittoch שֶׁבָּא sheba מֵרָחוֹק merachok, הוּא hu מִצַּד mitzad הַמָּוֶת hammavet, וְלֹא velo מָוֶת mavet מַמָּשׁ mammash. וְנִרְמָז venirmaz – אֶחָד echad מִשִּׁשִּׁים mishishim מִמִּיתָה mimmitah.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pinchas 414,415<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 41:4<\/a> “יְהוָה–יִסְעָדֶנּוּ, עַל-עֶרֶשׂ דְּוָי”
\n“YHVH<\/a> support him upon the bed of illness”<\/p>\n

The sages tell us that a person who visits the sick in his bed should not sit by his legs because the Shechina is by the head and the angel of death<\/a> is by the feet.<\/p>\n

If a person is righteous, then YHVH<\/a> is by his head and the Shechina surrounds his body up to the feet. For Jacob it was said Genesis 49:33<\/a> “וַיְכַל יַעֲקֹב לְצַוֹּת אֶת-בָּנָיו, וַיֶּאֱסֹף רַגְלָיו אֶל-הַמִּטָּה; וַיִּגְוַע, וַיֵּאָסֶף אֶל-עַמָּיו ”
\n“And when Jacob made an end of charging his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and expired, and was gathered unto his people. ”<\/p>\n

The bed is the aspect of the Shechina and when Jacob finished giving the blessings to his children, he raised his feet to the bed that is the aspect of the Shechina and his soul ascended to its place above.<\/p>\n

Impure people have the angel of death<\/a> surrounding their body from all directions with his sword waiting for the exact moment to separate the soul from the body.<\/p>\n

Proverb 5:4<\/a>
\n“וְאַחֲרִיתָהּ, מָרָה כַלַּעֲנָה; חַדָּה, כְּחֶרֶב פִּיּוֹת ”
\n“But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.”<\/p>\n

Jacob was the first to be sick in the Torah. The sages told us that Jacob asked God to give him the opportunity to bless his son before leaving the world. We know that the passing day of a righteous person is when his energy and the light from all of his spiritual work are fully revealed. Jacob knew that the entire future of the correction process<\/a> depended on the blessings of the twelve sons.<\/p>\n

Before Jacob change the system, death was a sudden event. When the time of death comes, a person would sneeze and his soul would leave the body. This is the reason why people bless each other for health when they hear a sneeze.<\/p>\n

Don’t get upset with Jacob because he did what’s best for us. Sickness is an aspect of Mercy that allows us time to correct the soul before it leaves this world. Many people suffer greatly before they die and that is their opportunity to repent and\/or pay the last payments on the correction process<\/a>.<\/p>\n
