רַעְיָא מְהֵימְנָא436. פָּתַח הָרוֹעֶה הַנֶּאֱמָן וְאָמַר, אוֹי לָהֶם לִבְנֵי אָדָם, שֶׁהֵם אֲטוּמֵי לֵב, סְתוּמֵי עֵינַיִם, שֶׁלֹּא יוֹדְעִים אֶבְרֵי הַגּוּף שֶׁלָּהֶם עַל מָה הֵם מְתֻקָּנִים, שֶׁהֲרֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא (הַקָּנֶ”ה), שְׁלֹשָׁה חֲיָלוֹת כְּלוּלִים בּוֹ: אֶחָד – הָבָל, שֶׁהוּא לַהַב אֵשׁ, שֶׁיּוֹצֵא מִן הַלֵּב וְנֶחֱלָק לְשִׁבְעָה הֲבָלִים שֶׁאָמַר קֹהֶלֶת. שֵׁנִי – אֲוִיר שֶׁנִּכְנָס בְּתוֹכוֹ מִבַּחוּץ. שְׁלִישִׁי – מַיִם שֶׁל כַּנְפֵי רֵאָה, שֶׁהֵם דְּבוּקִים בַּקָּנֶה. וּמִשְּׁלֹשֶׁת אֵלּוּ נַעֲשֶׂה קוֹל – מַיִם וְרוּחַ וְאֵשׁ. וּמִתְחַלֵּק כָּל אֶחָד לְשִׁבְעָה, וְהֵם שֶׁבַע לֶהָבוֹת, שִׁבְעָה אֲוִירִים, שִׁבְעָה נְחָלִים.\n

437. וְכַאֲשֶׁר פּוֹגְעוֹת לַהֲבוֹת הַלֵּב בְּעַנְנֵי גֶשֶׁם, שֶׁהֵם כַּנְפֵי רֵאָה, דֶּרֶךְ קְנֵה הָרֵאָה – זֶהוּ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְרַעַם גְּבוּרוֹתָיו מִי יִתְבּוֹנָן. שֶׁבָּהּ הַלֵּב מֵבִין בַּבִּינָה, שֶׁהִיא בַּלֵּב לִשְׂמֹאלוֹ, גְּבוּרָה. וְחֶסֶד לְיָמִין, מַיִם שֶׁל כַּנְפֵי רֵאָה. וְשָׁם חָכְמָה, הַמֹּחַ, וּמִמֶּנּוּ (שיר השירים ד) מַעְיַן גַּנִּים בְּאֵר מַיִם חַיִּים וְנֹזְלִים מִן לְבָנוֹן, שֶׁהוּא לֹבֶן הַמֹּחַ, נוֹזְלִים עַל הַקָּנֶה שֶׁל הָרֵאָה, אַחַר שֶׁעָלוּ עַנְנֵי הַבִּינָה לְגַבֵּי הַמֹּחַ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pinchas 436, 437<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Faithful Shepherd<\/a> tells us that woe to the people who have closed eyes and hearts and don’t know the spiritual connection of their body parts.<\/p>\n

He explains that קנה, the windpipe of the lungs is the aspect of the Holy one blessed be He. It delivers the life force to the Body from the light of Chokmah<\/a>. It consists of three forces. One is the הבל, vapor that is the flame of fire that comes out of the heart and is divided into seven ‘vapors’. The second force is the air that comes in from the outside. The third force is the waters in the ‘wings’ of the lungs. They are all connected in the windpipe and from the water, air and fire the sound comes out and splits to seven flames, seven air and seven streams.<\/p>\n

The flames from the heart that rise up through the windpipe meet with the rain clouds that are the wings of the lungs.<\/p>\n

Job 26:14<\/a>
\n“וְרַעַם גְּבוּרֹתָו, מִי יִתְבּוֹנָן”
\n“But the thunder of His mighty deeds who can understand (Binah<\/a>)?”<\/p>\n

Binah<\/a> literally means ‘understanding’ and the heart that is on the left side receives the aspect of ‘understanding’ from Binah<\/a>. The thunder that occurs in the clouds produces the rain water that comes from the moisture generated by Chokmah<\/a> that comes from the brain.<\/p>\n

Song of Songs 4:15<\/a>
\n“ מַעְיַן גַּנִּים, בְּאֵר מַיִם חַיִּים; וְנֹזְלִים, מִן-לְבָנוֹן”
\n“Thou art a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and flowing streams from Lebanon.”<\/p>\n

לְבָנוֹן , Lebanon, comes from the root word לבן, ‘white’ and the Zohar explains that the waters come from the white of the brain. It flows down the קנה, windpipe, with the energy of life as described in the verse with the words ‘well of living waters’.<\/p>\n

This Zohar adds to the importance of conscious breathing as a tool of adding life energy to the body. It connects the upper Sefirot of Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a> to form the Sefira of Da’at that is the gate that lets the flow of light down to Zeir Anpin<\/a>. The lungs manifest this light with the sound uttered from the mouth.<\/p>\n

A similar aspect is when man and woman join for the purpose of making a child. The proper consciousness connects Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a> and the outcome is Da’at that lets the flow of life force from the brain as waters (sperms) through the pipe that is Yessod<\/a> of Zeir Anpin<\/a> to the vessel that is Malchut<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
