514. בֹּא וּרְאֵה שֶׁזֶּה, שׁוֹמֵר הַפֶּתַח הוּא, וְעַל זֶה נִקְרָא (תהלים קכא) שׁוֹמֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְזֶה הָאִילָן הַתַּחְתּוֹן עָשָׂה, וּמֻשְׁקֶה וְנִזּוֹן מֵהָאִילָן הָעֶלְיוֹן. וְעַל זֶה לֹא כָתוּב יַעֲשֶׂה, אֶלָּא עָשָׂה. מָה הַטַּעַם? שֶׁיִּירְאוּ מִלְּפָנָיו בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָם וְלֹא יִתְקָרְבוּ אֵלָיו אֶלָּא אֵלּוּ שֶׁיִּהְיוּ רְאוּיִים לְהִתְקָרֵב, וְלֹא אֲחֵרִים, וְיִשְׁמְרוּ בְּנֵי הָאָדָם דַּרְכֵי הַתּוֹרָה וְלֹא יִסְטוּ לְיָמִין וְלִשְׂמֹאל.<\/p>\n

515. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, עַל זֶה הָאִילָן שֶׁכָּל חֲיָלָיו בּוֹ נִמְצָאִים, אָמַר דָּוִד, (תהלים טז) אַתָּה תּוֹמִיךְ גּוֹרָלִי. מַהוּ גּוֹרָלִי? זֶה הַגּוֹרָל שֶׁאוֹחֵז בּוֹ דָּוִד הַמֶּלֶךְ. וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב עַל פִּי הַגּוֹרָל. וְכֵן הוּא עַל פִּי ה’. וַיָּמָת שָׁם עַל פִּי ה’. כָּתוּב הַגּוֹרָל (כֵּן בּוֹ עַל פִּי). אַשְׁרֵי חֶלְקָם שֶׁל אֵלּוּ שֶׁמִּשְׁתַּדְּלִים בַּתּוֹרָה יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה וְיוֹדְעִים דְּרָכָיו, וְהֵם אוֹכְלִים בְּכָל יוֹם מָזוֹן עֶלְיוֹן, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (קהלת ז) הַחָכְמָה תְּחַיֶּה בְעָלֶיהָ. שֶׁהֲרֵי הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁל מַעְלָה מִמָּקוֹם זֶה נִזּוֹנֵית, וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר עֲלֵיהֶם, (ישעיה סה) הִנֵּה עֲבָדַי יֹאכֵלוּ.<\/p>\n

516. רַבִּי אַבָּא פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (יחזקאל א) וַיְהִי קוֹל מֵעַל הָרָקִיעַ. זֶה הַקּוֹל שֶׁאָחוּז לְזֶה הָרָקִיעַ וּמִשְׁתַּתֵּף עִמּוֹ. וְזֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים קיא) זֵכֶר עָשָׂה לְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו. וְאוֹתוֹ רָקִיעַ עוֹמֵד עֲלֵיהֶם, עַל אוֹתָן חַיּוֹת. וְזֶה הוּא שֶׁנִּבְרָא בַּשֵּׁנִי, לְהַבְדִּיל (בראשית א) בֵּין מַיִם לָמָיִם.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pinchas 514-516<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Zohar section quotes several Bible verses that link us to the purpose and protection of the Tree of Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Psalms 121:4<\/a> (This Paslms is well know because of the song “Shir Lama’alot”)
\n“הִנֵּה לֹא-יָנוּם, וְלֹא יִישָׁן שׁוֹמֵר, יִשְׂרָאֵל.”
\n“Behold, he who keeps Israel<\/a> will neither slumber nor sleep.”<\/p>\n

The keeper of Israel<\/a> is Zeir Anpin<\/a>, which is the lower Tree of Life<\/a>, nourished from Binah<\/a> that continuously sustains him. <\/p>\n

Psalms 16:5<\/a>
\n“ יְהוָה, מְנָת-חֶלְקִי וְכוֹסִי אַתָּה, תּוֹמִיךְ גּוֹרָלִי”
\n“YHVH<\/a> is my inheritance and my cup. You are the one who determines my destiny”<\/p>\n

King David appreciated his connection to the Tree of Life<\/a> that fulfilled and supported his vessel. It is the root and the path of his destiny.<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 7:12<\/a>
\n“כִּי בְּצֵל הַחָכְמָה, בְּצֵל הַכָּסֶף; וְיִתְרוֹן דַּעַת, הַחָכְמָה תְּחַיֶּה בְעָלֶיהָ.”
\n“For in the shadow of Wisdom (Chokmah<\/a>), in the shadow of money (silver) and the advantage of knowledge (Da’at) The wisdom preserves the life of him that own it”<\/p>\n

The wisest of all, King Solomon, reveals to us that in the Tree of Life<\/a>, the Chokmah<\/a> is above Chessed<\/a> that is the aspect of Silver and it feeds form Chokmah<\/a>. Both are on the right column<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Da’at gives the advantage because it is the Sefirah that channels the Light of Chokmah<\/a> through the central column and brings life to all the lower levels. It is not automatically for everyone but only for those who ‘own’ it. Ownership comes only through the process of earning it with our spiritual work.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 65:13<\/a>
\n“ לָכֵן כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה, הִנֵּה עֲבָדַי יֹאכֵלוּ וְאַתֶּם תִּרְעָבוּ–הִנֵּה עֲבָדַי יִשְׁתּוּ, וְאַתֶּם תִּצְמָאוּ; הִנֵּה עֲבָדַי יִשְׂמָחוּ, וְאַתֶּם תֵּבֹשׁוּ”
\n“This is what YHVH<\/a> God says: My servants will eat, but you will be hungry. My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. My servants will be glad, but you will be ashamed.”<\/p>\n

The servants that God is referring to are those who work to draw and continue the flow of light from the Tree of Life<\/a> to the world. As channels of Light they are the first to benefit from it.<\/p>\n

Ezekiel 1:25<\/a>
\n“ וַיְהִי-קוֹל–מֵעַל, לָרָקִיעַ אֲשֶׁר עַל-רֹאשָׁם; בְּעָמְדָם, תְּרַפֶּינָה כַנְפֵיהֶן”
\n“A voice came from above the expanse over their heads; when they stood still, they lowered their wings”<\/p>\n

The ‘voice’ is the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a> and the heads is the aspect of Yessod<\/a> of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that connects Malchut<\/a> to the Tree.<\/p>\n

Psalms 111:4<\/a>
\n“זֵכֶר עָשָׂה, לְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו; חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְהוָה”
\n“He has caused His wonderful works to be remembered. YHVH<\/a> is gracious and compassionate”<\/p>\n

The ‘זֵכֶר’ ‘remembering’ is male aspect that is related to the connection of Yessod<\/a> and Malchut<\/a> that brings down the pure light that is gracious and compassionate.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe concentration of verse above is a well of light that links us to the Tree of Life<\/a>. The Zohar ‘digs’ for us wells of life from the Bible. It reveals the inner light of the verses and that is why the Daily Zohar brings the full verse even if the Zohar refers to it with few words.<\/p>\n

We should focus and read the quoted verses from the Bible. It is highly recommended to have the Bible book next to us when we study the Daily Zohar. You can use this link to http:\/\/Mechon-mamre.org to locate Bible verses online and have the Hebrew with other languages side by side.<\/p>\n
