553. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַה הֵשִׁיב לָהֶם? אָמַר לוֹ, אָמַר הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, הֲרֵי בַּר יוֹחַאי יֹאמַר, וּבָאתִי לִשְׁאֹל מִמְּךָ. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, כַּמָּה חֲבִיבוּת חִבֵּב הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לִכְנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, וּמֵרִבּוּי הָאַהֲבָה שֶׁאוֹהֵב אוֹתָהּ, שִׁנָּה מַעֲשָׂיו מִמַּה שֶּׁהוּא עוֹשֶׂה. שֶׁאַף עַל גַּב שֶׁאֵין דְּרָכָיו בַּאֲכִילָה וּשְׁתִיָּה – בִּגְלַל הָאַהֲבָה אָכַל וְשָׁתָה. הוֹאִיל וּבָא אֶצְלָהּ, עָשָׂה רְצוֹנָהּ. כַּלָּה נִכְנֶסֶת לַחֻפָּה וְרוֹצָה לֶאֱכֹל, אֵין זֶה דִּין שֶׁיֹּאכַל חֲתָנָהּ עִמָּהּ אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁאֵין דַּרְכּוֹ לַעֲשׂוֹת כָּךְ?! זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב בָּאתִי לְגַנִּי אֲחֹתִי כַלָּה. הוֹאִיל וּבָאתִי אֶצְלָהּ וְלַעֲלוֹת עִמָּהּ לַחֻפָּה, אָכַלְתִּי יַעְרִי עִם דִּבְשִׁי וְגוֹ’.<\/p>\n

554. וְלָמַדְנוּ מִדָּוִד, שֶׁהִזְמִין לְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא וְשִׁנָּה מַעֲשָׂיו מִמַּה שֶּׁדְּרָכָיו שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא קִבֵּל וְעָשָׂה רְצוֹנוֹ. זִמֵּן לַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַמַּלְכָּה עִמּוֹ – זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים קלב) קוּמָה ה’ לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ. מֶלֶךְ וּמַלְכָּה כְּאֶחָד, כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא לְהַפְרִיד אוֹתָם, שִׁנָּה כֵּלִים וְשִׁנָּה מַעֲשִׂים שֶׁל הַמֶּלֶךְ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

From this story we learn that God desires and waits for the words of the righteous and with love, he follows them.<\/p>\n

Song of Songs 5:1<\/a>
\n“בָּאתִי לְגַנִּי, אֲחֹתִי כַלָּה–אָרִיתִי מוֹרִי עִם-בְּשָׂמִי, אָכַלְתִּי יַעְרִי עִם-דִּבְשִׁי שָׁתִיתִי יֵינִי עִם-חֲלָבִי; אִכְלוּ רֵעִים, שְׁתוּ וְשִׁכְרוּ דּוֹדִים”
\n“I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh along with my balsam. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk. Eat, friends; Drink and imbibe deeply, O lovers.”<\/p>\n

YHVH<\/a> comes to the garden to connect with the Shechina, Malchut<\/a>. The Zohar asks why does it say ‘I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey’ when the YHVH<\/a> is not one that consumes food, and explains: when the Light is unified with the vessel it inherits its attributes. It represents God’s unconditional love of all of his Creation.<\/p>\n

Like Eve was part of Adam before they were separated, so was the Shechina one with the Light before creating the world of correction.<\/p>\n

King David is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> and in Psalms 132:8<\/a> he asks God:
\n“קוּמָה יְהוָה, לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ: אַתָּה, וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ”
\n“Arise, YHVH<\/a>, unto you resting-place; you, and the ark of you strength”<\/p>\n

The ‘resting-place’ מנוחה is the state of continuous Light that is happening when the Light and the vessel are in unification. Shabbat is a ‘resting-place’.<\/p>\n

In connection to the previous DZ study we now understand that God is happy to fulfill Rabbi Shimon’s words because they create proper unification between him, the Light and the Shechina, the Vessel.<\/p>\n

The Zohar is a tool that Rabbi Shimon left in the world to support the Shechina while she is in exile. Each time we read or listen to the Zohar we connect to the original purpose of the Zohar and share the merit of Rabbi Shimon.<\/p>\n
