\n114. בְּיוֹמָא שְׁבִיעָאָה דְּחָג, הוּא סִיּוּמָא דְּדִינָא דְּעָלְמָא, וּפִתְקִין נָפְקִין מִבֵּי מַלְכָּא, וּגְבוּרָן מִתְעָרֵי וּמִסְתַּיְּימָן בְּהַאי יוֹמָא, וְעַרְבֵי נַחַל תַּלְיָין בְּהוּ. וּבָעֵינָן לְאִתְּעָרָא גְּבוּרָן לְמַיָּא. וּלְסַחֲרָא ז’ זִמְנִין, לְרַוָואָה לְהַאי מִזְבֵּחַ, מִמַּיָּא דְּיִצְחָק, בְּגִין דְּאִתְמַלְיָא מַיָּא הַאי בֵּירָא דְּיִצְחָק, וְכַד הוּא אִתְמַלְּיָא, כָּל עָלְמָא אִתְבָּרְכָא בְּמַיָּא.
\n114. בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי שֶׁל הֶחָג, הוּא סִיּוּם הַדִּין שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם, וְהַפְּתָקִים יוֹצְאִים מִבֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ, וְהַגְּבוּרוֹת מִתְעוֹרְרוֹת וּמִסְתַּיְּמוֹת בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה, וְעַרְבֵי נַחַל תלויים בָּהֶם. וּצְרִיכִים לְעוֹרֵר גְּבוּרוֹת לַמַּיִם, וּלְהַקִּיף שֶׁבַע פְּעָמִים כְּדֵי לְרַוּוֹת אֶת הַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַזֶּה מֵהַמַּיִם שֶׁל יִצְחָק, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהַבְּאֵר הַזּוֹ שֶׁל יִצְחָק מִתְמַלֵּאת מַיִם, וּכְשֶׁמִּתְמַלֵּאת, כָּל הָעוֹלָם מִתְבָּרֵךְ בְּמַיִם.\n<\/div>\n

The seventh day of the Holiday of Sukkot, which is Hoshana Rabah, is the end of the Judgment on the world. The Sentences, (Called Pitkin that is the plural of Pitka) are sent from the King’s house. The Gevurot<\/a> rise and end on that same day. The willows of the brook depend upon them. They bring Gevurot<\/a> to the water and circle the Altar seven times for the seven Sefirot and imbue the Altar with waters of Isaac that is the aspect of the left Column<\/a>. When the well of Isaac is filled with the waters then the entire world is blessed with it.<\/p>\n

115. וּבְהַאי יוֹמָא גְּבוּרוֹת בָּעֵינָן לְמַיָּא, וּלְסַיְימָא לוֹן לְבָתַר, דְּהָא (דף ל”ב ע”א) בְּהַאי יוֹמָא מִסְתַּיְּימֵי דִּינָא. וּבְגִין כָּךְ בָּעֵינָן לְבַטְּשָׁא לוֹן בְּאַרְעָא, וּלְסַיְימָא לוֹן דְּלָא מִשְׁתַּכְחוּ, דְּהַאי יוֹמָא אִתְּעָרוּתָא וְסִיּוּמָא הוּא. וְעַל דָּא אִתְּעָרוּתָא וְסִיּוּמָא הוּא דְּעַבְדִינָן בְּעַרְבֵי נַחַל.
\n115. וּבַיּוֹם הַזֶּה צְרִיכִים גְּבוּרוֹת לַמַּיִם, וּלְסַיֵּם אוֹתָהּ אַחַר כָּךְ, שֶׁהֲרֵי בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה מִסְתַּיֵּם הַדִּין, וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ צְרִיכִים לַחְבֹּט אוֹתָם בַּקַּרְקַע שֶׁלֹּא יִמָּצְאוּ, שֶׁהֲרֵי זֶהוּ יוֹם שֶׁל הִתְעוֹרְרוּת וְסִיּוּם. וְלָכֵן הִתְעוֹרְרוּת וְסִיּוּם הוּא שֶׁעוֹשִׂים בְּעַרְבֵי נַחַל.\n

118. אָמַר רִבִּי יוֹסֵי הָא תָּנֵינָן, הַעֲרָבָה דְּדַמְיָא לְשִׂפְוָון בְּהַאי יוֹמָא, וּמַאי הִיא. אָמַר רִבִּי חִיָּיא, אַף עַל גַּב דְּלִדְרָשָׁא הוּא דְּאָתֵי, הָכִי הוּא וַדַּאי. דְּהָא בְּהַאי יוֹמָא בְּשִׂפְוָון תַּלְיָא, בְּהַאי יוֹמָא פָּקִיד מַלְכָּא לְמֵיהַב פִּתְקִין לְסַנְטִירָא, וּמִסְתַּיְּימֵי דִּינִין, וְאַסְתִּים לִישָׁנָא בִּישָׁא מֵעָלְמָא. בְּיוֹמָא קַדְמָאָה דְּיַרְחָא שֵׁירוּתָא דְּדִינָא הוּא, וְסִיּוּמָא הוּא בְּהַאי יוֹמָא. וְהָא אִתְּמַר.<\/p>\n

118. אָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, הֲרֵי שָׁנִינוּ, הָעֲרָבָה שֶׁדּוֹמֶה לַשְּׂפָתַיִם בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה, וּמַה הִיא? אָמַר רַבִּי חִיָּיא, אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁלִּדְרָשׁ הוּא בָּא, כָּךְ זֶה וַדַּאי. שֶׁהֲרֵי בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה זֶה תָלוּי בַּשְּׂפָתַיִם, בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה מְצַוֶּה הַמֶּלֶךְ לָתֵת פְּתָקִים לַמְמֻנֶּה, וְהַדִּינִים מִסְתַּיְּמִים, וְנִסְתָּם לָשׁוֹן הָרָע מֵהָעוֹלָם. בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן שֶׁל הַחֹדֶשׁ הוּא רֵאשִׁית הַדִּין, וְהַסִּיּוּם הוּא בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה, וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

On the day of Hoshana rabah, we seal the judgment by beating and breaking the willow branches on the ground.
\nThe king orders the ministers to deliver the ‘Pitka’ of each person and the process is completed and sealed. On Rosh Hashanah we start the process and on Hashanah Raba we end it.
\nUntil the last moment of Hoshanah Rabah we can influence the ‘sentence’ of the ‘King’. If one didn’t participate in the Rosh Hashana, the ten days of repentance<\/a> and cleansing or Yom Kippur they can still change themselves, focus on Zohar Study, Donating and Sharing to remove judgments from their ‘sentence’, which is the ‘Pitka’. When we bless each other with ‘Pitka Tova’ we wish for the person to have a good ‘sentence’, meaning a new year without judgment and with great potential. <\/p>\n

Meditation of the five willow branches ערבות<\/a> (Pronounced ‘Aravot’).
\nNumerical value of ערבה, ‘willow’ is 277, same as זרע, ‘seed’. The Holy Ari taught that when we beat the willow to the ground we meditate to break, weaken and sweeten the judgment. We do not make a blessing on this action because the action itself makes them vessels, not words. The vessels of the willow branches, ‘Aravot’ that grow by the water elevate new ‘seeds’ of light called מ”ן, Female waters<\/a>.
\nWith each hit on the ground we break the Gevurah<\/a> of one of the five final letters םןץפך. <\/p>\n
