\n775. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן פָּתַח פָּסוּק וְאָמַר, שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים רָאשֵׁיכֶם וְגוֹ’. פָּסוּק זֶה בֵּאֲרוּהוּ וְנִתְבָּאֵר. אֲבָל שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים רָאשֵׁיכֶם – אֵלּוּ הֵם שְׁעָרִים עֶלְיוֹנִים, שְׁעָרִים שֶׁל שֵׂכֶל עֶלְיוֹן, וְאֵלּוּ חֲמִשִּׁים שְׁעָרִים. רָאשֵׁיכֶם – אֵלּוּ הָרָאשִׁים מִי הֵם? אֶלָּא כָּל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד יֵשׁ לוֹ רֹאשׁ לְהִתְפַּשֵּׁט וְלַעֲלוֹת זֶה בָּזֶה וּלְהִכָּלֵל זֶה בָּזֶה.

Pinchas 774-776<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 24:7<\/a>
\n“שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים, רָאשֵׁיכֶם, וְהִנָּשְׂאוּ, פִּתְחֵי עוֹלָם;
\nוְיָבוֹא, מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד.”
\n“Lift up your heads, gates! Be lifted up, ancient doors, so the King of Glory may come in.”<\/p>\n

24:9″ שְׂאוּ שְׁעָרִים, רָאשֵׁיכֶם, וּשְׂאוּ, פִּתְחֵי עוֹלָם;
\nוְיָבֹא, מֶלֶךְ הַכָּבוֹד.”
\nPsalms 24:9<\/a> “Lift up your heads, gates! Be lifted up, ancient doors, so the King of Glory may come in.”<\/p>\n

In Psalms chapter 24<\/a> verses 7 and 8 are very similar to verses 9 and 10. the Zohar explains that they reveal the connection of upper and lower presence of God.
\nRabbi Shimon reveals that the ‘gates’ are the connection to Binah<\/a> with the 50 gates. Each gate has its own ‘head’ and can rise to connect and be included with the next gate.<\/p>\n

This Psalms is added to the prayers every Sunday morning. It also has a special focus on the first evening of Rosh Hashanah. It relates to the initial connection of upper and lower. On Sunday we still carry the extra soul of Neshamah from Shabbat and we use it to elevate to the higher level.
\nRosh Hashanah is the ‘head’ of the Year and our ‘head’ is going up for evaluation of its ability to connect to the higher levels (purity of the vessel and its light).<\/p>\n

When the two realms connect, they activate the ‘wheels’ who are angels and forces that put everything in this world in motion. They define the keep material world in existence. When we control the wheels we are able to control matter. We have many curtains that limit our ability to do so but with the power of the Zohar to elevate our souls to higher levels, we have greater ability to positively influence the world around us.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon had total control over the material world because he was always connected to the secrets of the Torah that insured continuous connection to the upper levels. The angel of death<\/a> was afraid to come closer to him because Rabbi Shimon’s light could nullify his existence.
\nBecause we neither have the Holy Temple to provide high level of energy nor the presence of Rabbi Shimon in the world, we should be satisfied with the tool given to us as a gift of life, which is the Zohar.<\/p>\n
