889. וְאִם תֹּאמַר, אִם כָּךְ, רַע עַיִן אָנוּ אֶצְלָם – כֵּן, שֶׁהֲרֵי כָּתוּב (משלי כה) כִּי גֶחָלִים אַתָּה חֹתֶה עַל רֹאשׁוֹ. אֲבָל אֲנַחְנוּ לֹא נוֹתְנִים אֶלָּא בְּשִׂמְחָה, שֶׁאֵין בִּימֵי הַשָּׁנָה שִׂמְחָה כְּאֵלּוּ הַיָּמִים. וּמִפְּנֵי שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ נוֹתְנִים בְּטוּב לֵב וּבְשִׂמְחָה שֶׁל רָצוֹן – מִתְהַפֵּךְ עֲלֵיהֶם גֶּחָלִים עַל רָאשֵׁיהֶם, גֶּחָלִים לוֹהֲטוֹת שֶׁל הַשִּׂמְחָה שֶׁלָּנוּ עוֹשׂוֹת לָהֶם רָע. י”ד (ה’), ע’, וח”ץ, כָּךְ עוֹלִים בַּחֶשְׁבּוֹן שֶׁלָּהֶם.

The Zohar raises a point that one may consider the 98 lambs sacrifices as a negative sign. There are 98 curses in the Torah (Deuteronomy 27). Also 98 is numerically חץ, ‘arrow’ that can hurt or kill a person.<\/p>\n

Another question is “Who gave us the light to sacrifice for them? The 70 nations may not want to have that.”. The Zohar tells us that the gift is given to them during the holiday that is a special event and we share the light willingly, happily and with kind heart. We bring the sacrifices to make the spiritual connections so they can come close to the Holy One and receive the light from them.<\/p>\n

Proverb 25:21<\/a>
\n“אִם-רָעֵב שֹׂנַאֲךָ, הַאֲכִלֵהוּ לָחֶם; וְאִם-צָמֵא, הַשְׁקֵהוּ מָיִם”
\n“If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,”<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that ‘give him bread to eat’ refers to the sacrifices and ‘give him water’ is the water מים connection in the second, sixth and seventh day of the holiday. (See DZ #1393)
\nThe Torah is the seed of the whole Creation and given to the entire human kind. It’s obvious that God can provide light to the 70 nations as he provides for the rest of Creation but the responsibility for the entire human kind was given to the Israelites<\/a>. They accepted the responsibilities of the Torah and the difficult process to the reward at the end of the ‘seven’.<\/p>\n

There is a lot to learn about all the aspects of seven but for this study we connect to the holiday of Sukkot. During the seven days we work hard with all the tools to draw light for us and the world. On the eighth day we sacrifice only one bull to celebrate a unification of YHVH<\/a>, the Light, with the Torah. That gives us the power to control the light for the entire year.<\/p>\n

The Jews are the part of the Israelites<\/a> that didn’t go into complete exile and stayed connected to the Torah. They have the responsibility to wake up the Israelites<\/a> souls that are still in exile among the nations of the world and gather them back into the Torah and its light. The spreading of the Zohar awakened many Israelites<\/a> souls that help in building the greater and needed vessel to draw and reveal the Endless light in the world, which is the time of Mashiach.<\/p>\n

That is one of the reasons why the Bible says “If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,”. We are all soul brothers. <\/p>\n
