\n2. אֶלָּא כָּךְ שָׁנִינוּ, אֱלִישָׁע זָכָה בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה מַה שֶּׁלֹּא זָכָה נָבִיא אַחֵר, פְּרָט לְמֹשֶׁה. [וְעִם כָּל זֶה לֹא רָצָה לְהַטְרִיחַ אֶת רִבּוֹנוֹ] בֹּא רְאֵה מַה כָּתוּב, (מלכים-ב ד) וַיְהִי הַיּוֹם וַיַּעֲבֹר אֱלִישָׁע אֶל שׁוּנֵם וְשָׁם אִשָּׁה גְדוֹלָה. מַה זֶּה אִשָּׁה גְדוֹלָה? אֶלָּא גְּדוֹלָה בְּמַעֲשֶׂיהָ, שֶׁכָּל בְּנֵי (הַדּוֹר) הַבַּיִת מִשְׁתַּבְּחִים בָּהּ, וְהִיא עִקַּר הַבַּיִת. וּמִשּׁוּם שֶׁבַּעְלָהּ לֹא הָיָה מָצוּי בַּבַּיִת לִהְיוֹת עִקָּר, לֹא נִזְכַּר הוּא, אֶלָּא הִיא.
\n3. וְעוֹד, וְשָׁם אִשָּׁה גְדוֹלָה – גְּדוֹלָה עַל כָּל שְׁאָר נְשׁוֹת הָעוֹלָם. שֶׁהֲרֵי שְׁאָר נְשׁוֹת הָעוֹלָם, כְּשֶׁרוֹאוֹת אוֹרֵחַ בַּבַּיִת, מִצְטַעֲרוֹת בּוֹ וְדוֹחֲקוֹת אוֹתוֹ, וְכָל שֶׁכֵּן לְהוֹצִיא עָלָיו מָמוֹן, וְהִיא שָׂמְחָה בָּאוֹרֵחַ וּלְהוֹצִיא עָלָיו מָמוֹן, כָּל שֶׁכֵּן כֵּיוָן שֶׁרָאֲתָה אֶת אֱלִישָׁע, שָׂמְחָה בּוֹ מְאֹד. וְעַל כֵּן הַשֶּׁבַח שֶׁל הַכֹּל הוּא שֶׁל הָאִשָּׁה, שֶׁהֲרֵי הָאוֹרֵחַ שֶׁל הַבַּיִת הוּא שֶׁל הָאִשָּׁה, וְלָכֵן כָּתוּב וְשָׁם אִשָּׁה גְדוֹלָה, גְּדוֹלָה עַל שְׁאָר הַנָּשִׁים.\n<\/div>\n

Portion of Beshalach<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Israelites<\/a> left Egypt with a lot of gold, silver and clothing, arriving the sea shore and the Egyptians coming behind them with their top warriors. They got panicked and started crying to G-d. (Exodus 14:11<\/a>) They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”.<\/p>\n

It is strange that immediately after leaving the “hard work” in Egypt they were ready to go back. This is not what I want to discuss here but just to shed some light on this, the Ari explains that this story also reveals the secrets of the soul (Israel<\/a>) leaving the body (Egypt) and Pharaoh (is the Evil inclination). The Red Sea here represents the river of fires of hell and the Soul represents Israel<\/a> who is scared to go in to the sea for the cleansing process. The Egyptian army represents the negative forces that try to get the maximum energy from the soul as long as it is close to the body. The soul wishes to go back to the body (Egypt) and prefers the limitation of the body over the pain of the soul crossing the rivers of hell.<\/p>\n

After my mother<\/a> passed away she came to my older sister in a dream on the same night of the funeral and she looked better than she was in her last months but she appeared (quietly) in the house in her wheelchair. Three nights after that my mother<\/a> came back to my sister in another dream and this time she looked well, standing in a large and unknown place, with a lot of light and dressed in a light color suit.<\/p>\n

My sister is not a student of Kabbalah and didn’t read the writings of the Holy Ari but her dreams partially explain the process of the soul as it ascends to the higher levels to its resting place. The soul starts the process on a lower spiritual level and may even have difficulties to get out of the physical gravity, then after three days the fire of what is called hell helps separate the soul from the negativity of the lower levels.<\/p>\n

It is said that even great righteous people, go briefly through the fire of hell in order to purify their soul from any “left over” physical desires and get ready for the new spiritual clothing given to them above.
\nWe see how the Torah is an amazing source of knowledge and from one story we can learn so much on different levels. Now let’s go back to where the Israelites<\/a> were crying out to G-d and complaining to Moshe. Exodus 14:13<\/a> “Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance YHVH<\/a> will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 YHVH<\/a> will fight for you; you need only to be still.”.
\nImmediately after that on 14:15<\/a> G-d is telling Moshe “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites<\/a> to move on.”<\/p>\n

Here, the Zohar gives us a lesson on how and when to pray and how to connect to miracles. It uses the story of Jonah the prophet that prayed to G-d from the belly of the fish but in the Israelites<\/a> case, they did not need to pray as G-d said, “stop crying, just move on. “.<\/p>\n

That “Move on” is the connection to the highest level possible, the seed of creations, the place called “Mazala” “מזלא “. This is where the miracle of splitting the Red Sea came from.
\nThe first letters of “Why are you crying to me?” “מַה-תִּצְעַק אֵלָי ” are “אמת ” and it means truth.
\nThis special word is the signature of God and it flows through the central column. This is the strait line from Keter<\/a>(Light) through Tiferet<\/a> (Jacob, אמת־ליעקב ), Yessod<\/a> (Joseph<\/a>) and Malchut<\/a> (King David).<\/p>\n

א is the first letter of the Alef-Bet<\/a>, מ is the middle one and ת is the last one. In order to draw the Light of miracles we need to connect to the truth with our actions. Our heart should be open to the light without any agenda.<\/p>\n

Twice a day in our prayers we recite a verse that sums this up beautifully. Psalms 145:18<\/a>
\nקָרוֹב יְקוָה, לְכָל-קֹרְאָיו– לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת
\nG-d is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.<\/p>\n
