15. וְכֵיוָן שֶׁאוֹתוֹ מֶלֶךְ וְכֹהֵן הוֹדוּ לַקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא וְנִשְׁבְּרוּ לְפָנָיו, אָז הִתְעַלָּה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בִּכְבוֹדוֹ עַל הַכֹּל, מַעְלָה וּמַטָּה. וְעַד שֶׁהִתְעַלָּה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בִּכְבוֹדוֹ, כְּשֶׁהוֹדוּ אֵלֶּה לְפָנָיו, לֹא נִתְּנָה תּוֹרָה עַד לְאַחַר שֶׁבָּא יִתְרוֹ, וְהוֹדָה וְאָמַר, עַתָּה יָדַעְתִּי כִּי גָדוֹל ה’ מִכָּל הָאֱלֹהִים. בָּרוּךְ ה’ אֲשֶׁר הִצִּיל אֶתְכֶם וְגוֹ’. אָז הִתְעַלָּה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בִּכְבוֹדוֹ מַעְלָה וּמַטָּה, וְאַחַר כָּךְ נָתַן תּוֹרָה בִּשְׁלֵמוּת, כְּשֶׁשִּׁלְטוֹנוֹ עַל הַכֹּל.
\n16. רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (תהלים סז) יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים אֱלֹהִים יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים כֻּלָּם. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, דָּוִד הַמֶּלֶךְ קָם וְשִׁבַּח וְהוֹדָה לַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וְהוּא הִשְׁתַּדֵּל בַּתּוֹרָה בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה כְּשֶׁרוּחַ צָפוֹן הִתְעוֹרְרָה וְהָיְתָה מַכָּה בְּאוֹתָם נִימֵי הַכִּנּוֹר, וְהַכִּנּוֹר הָיָה מְנַגֵּן וְאוֹמֵר שִׁירָה וְכוּ’. וְאֵיזוֹ שִׁירָה הוּא אָמַר?
\n17. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מִתְעוֹרֵר אֶל כָּל אוֹתָן הַמֶּרְכָּבוֹת לָתֵת לָהֶן טֶרֶף, כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאַרְנוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (משלי לא) וַתָּקָם בְּעוֹד לַיְלָה וַתִּתֵּן טֶרֶף לְבֵיתָהּ וְחֹק לְנַעֲרֹתֶיהָ, אָז כֻּלָּם בְּשִׂמְחָה פּוֹתְחִים וְאוֹמְרִים, (תהלים סז) אֱלֹהִים יְחָנֵּנוּ וִיבָרְכֵנוּ יָאֵר פָּנָיו אִתָּנוּ סֶלָה. כְּשֶׁרוּחַ צָפוֹן מִתְעוֹרֶרֶת וְיוֹרֶדֶת לָעוֹלָם, נוֹשֶׁבֶת וְאוֹמֶרֶת, לָדַעַת בָּאָרֶץ דַּרְכֶּךָ בְּכָל גּוֹיִם יְשׁוּעָתֶךָ. בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁמְּנַגֵּן הַכִּנּוֹר בְּאוֹתָהּ רוּחַ, פּוֹתֵחַ וְאוֹמֵר, יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים כֻּלָּם. כְּשֶׁהָיָה דָּוִד קָם וּמִתְעוֹרֵר עָלָיו רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ, פָּתַח וְאָמַר, אֶרֶץ נָתְנָה יְבוּלָהּ יְבָרְכֵנוּ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְבָרְכֵנוּ אֱלֹהִים וְיִירְאוּ אוֹתוֹ כָּל אַפְסֵי אָרֶץ. כְּדֵי לְהַמְשִׁיךְ אֶת טוּב הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מִלְמַעְלָה לְמַטָּה. אַחַר כָּךְ בָּא דָּוִד וְסִדֵּר אוֹתָם בְּרוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ כְּאֶחָד, הִסְתַּכֵּל בְּכָל הַכָּתוּב הַזֶּה שֶׁל הַכִּנּוֹר, שֶׁל שְׁלֵמוּת וּכְבוֹד הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְמַעְלָה וּלְמַטָּה.<\/div>\n

Exodus 20:12<\/a>
\n“כַּבֵּד אֶת-אָבִיךָ, וְאֶת-אִמֶּךָ–לְמַעַן, יַאֲרִכוּן יָמֶיךָ, עַל הָאֲדָמָה, אֲשֶׁר-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ.”
\n“Honor thy father and thy mother<\/a>, that thy days may be long upon the land which YHVH<\/a> thy God giveth thee”
\nThe “days” is the aspect of Light, ‘long days’ means Light from the upper three sefirot that are considered long. ‘Upon the Land’ is the aspect of life in this world.<\/p>\n

The Ari explains that even if the father and mother<\/a> are not worthy of any respect (negative people, even murderers etc…), we are required to honor them for a simple reason. They are the cause of our existence and the Light comes to us through them. We are connected with a spiritual umbilical cord. When we do not respect our parents we cannot reveal Light in our life. The Holy Ari adds that we should respect our older brothers and sisters because they came to the world before us and the channel of Light from our parents comes through them to us.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon tells us that following this commandment is also the aspect of honoring YHVH<\/a> and it helps the Shechina in exile to rise up. Those who do that will benefit from the Light as it says in 1 Samuel 2:30<\/a>
\n“לָכֵן, נְאֻם-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, אָמוֹר אָמַרְתִּי, בֵּיתְךָ וּבֵית אָבִיךָ יִתְהַלְּכוּ לְפָנַי עַד-עוֹלָם; וְעַתָּה נְאֻם-יְהוָה חָלִילָה לִּי, כִּי-מְכַבְּדַי אֲכַבֵּד וּבֹזַי יֵקָלּוּ”
\n“Therefore YHVH<\/a>, the God of Israel<\/a>, declares: ‘I promised that your house and your father’s house would minister before me forever.’ But now YHVH<\/a> declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.”<\/p>\n

Exodus 24:16<\/a>
\n“וַיִּשְׁכֹּן כְּבוֹד-יְהוָה עַל-הַר סִינַי”
\n“And the glory of YHVH<\/a> abode upon mount Sinai,”
\nGlory is translated from the Hebrew word כבוד that is the same as ‘honor’. Numerical value is 32, same as ‘heart’ ‘לב’, the two letters that begin and end the Torah.<\/p>\n

Exodus 16:7<\/a> “וּבֹקֶר, וּרְאִיתֶם אֶת-כְּבוֹד יְהוָה” “and in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of YHVH<\/a>”
\nJeremiah 13:16<\/a>
\n“תְּנוּ לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם כָּבוֹד בְּטֶרֶם יַחְשִׁךְ, וּבְטֶרֶם יִתְנַגְּפוּ רַגְלֵיכֶם עַל-הָרֵי נָשֶׁף; וְקִוִּיתֶם לְאוֹר וְשָׂמָהּ לְצַלְמָוֶת, ישית (וְשִׁית) לַעֲרָפֶל”
\n” Give glory (honor) to YHVH<\/a> your God before he brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the twilight mountains, and while you look for light he turns it into gloom and makes it deep darkness.”<\/p>\n

Turn on the light in your lives and give honor to your parents, the Torah, the Zohar and to all channels of Light in your lives. With this simple action we can increase the flow of Light from the upper levels to ourselves and the world.<\/p>\n

Today is Tu B’Shevat, meaning the fifteenth of Shevat. It is the head of the year for the Tree, which is the Tree of Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tu B’Shevat is also the head of the year for giving tithing. Giving tithe is another aspect of giving honor to the channels of Light in your life. Honor your parents and give them a call today. Honor the Light in your life and share your tithe with all channels of Light in your life.<\/p>\n
