\nוְאִם תֹּאמַר, הֲרֵי כָּתוּב (ישעיה נה) לְכוּ שִׁבְרוּ וֶאֱכֹלוּ וּלְכוּ שִׁבְרוּ בְּלוֹא כֶסֶף וּבְלוֹא מְחִיר יַיִן וְחָלָב, שֶׁהֲרֵי הוּא בְּחִנָּם, (וְהִשְׁתַּדְּלוּת בְּלֹא כֶסֶף) וְזוֹ הִשְׁתַּדְּלוּת לַקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא? אֶלָּא הִשְׁתַּדְּלוּת שֶׁל הַתּוֹרָה – כָּל מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לִזְכּוֹת בָּהּ. הִשְׁתַּדְּלוּת כְּדֵי לָדַעַת אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא – כָּל מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה, זוֹכֶה בּוֹ בְּלִי שָׂכָר כְּלָל. אֲבָל הִשְׁתַּדְּלוּת בַּקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא שֶׁעוֹמֶדֶת בְּמַעֲשֶׂה, אָסוּר לָקַחַת אוֹתָהּ לְחִנָּם וּבְרֵיקָנוּת, כִּי אֵינֶנּוּ זוֹכֶה כָּךְ בְּאוֹתוֹ מַעֲשֶׂה כְּלָל לְהַמְשִׁיךְ עָלָיו רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ, אֶלָּא רַק בְּשָׂכָר שָׁלֵם.
\nבְּסֵפֶר הַכְּשָׁפִים שֶׁלִּמֵּד אַשְׁמְדַאי לִשְׁלֹמֹה הַמֶּלֶךְ – כָּל מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְהִשְׁתַּדֵּל לְהַעֲבִיר מִמֶּנּוּ רוּחַ טֻמְאָה וְלִכְפּוֹת רוּחַ אַחֶרֶת, אוֹתוֹ הַמַּעֲשֶׂה שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְהִשְׁתַּדֵּל בּוֹ, צָרִיךְ לִקְנוֹת אוֹתוֹ בְּשָׂכָר מֻשְׁלָם בְּכָל מַה שֶּׁיִּרְצוּ מִמֶּנּוּ, בֵּין קָטָן בֵּין גָּדוֹל, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁרוּחַ הַטֻּמְאָה מִזְדַּמֶּנֶת תָּמִיד בְּחִנָּם וּבְרֵיקָנוּת, וְנִמְכֶּרֶת בְּלִי שָׂכָר, וְאוֹנֶסֶת בְּנֵי אָדָם לִשְׁרוֹת עֲלֵיהֶם, וּמְפַתָּה אוֹתָם לָדוּר עִמָּם. בְּכַמָּה פִתּוּיִים, בְּכַמָּה דְרָכִים, מַסְטָה אוֹתָם לָשִׂים דִּיּוּרָהּ עִמָּם.
\nוְרוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ אֵינָהּ כָּךְ, אֶלָּא בְּשָׂכָר שָׁלֵם, וּבְהִשְׁתַּדְּלוּת רַבָּה וּגְדוֹלָה, וּבְטִהוּר עַצְמוֹ וּבְטִהוּר מִשְׁכָּנוֹ, וּבִרְצוֹן לִבּוֹ וְנַפְשׁוֹ. וְהַלְוַאי שֶׁיָּכוֹל לְהַרְוִיחַ אוֹתוֹ שֶׁיָּשִׂים מְדוֹרוֹ עִמּוֹ, וְעִם כָּל זֶה שֶׁיֵּלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ יָשָׁר, שֶׁלֹּא יִסְטֶה יָמִינָה וּשְׂמֹאלָה, וְאִם לֹא – מִיָּד מִסְתַּלֵּק מִמֶּנּוּ וּמִתְרַחֵק מִמֶּנּוּ, וְלֹא יוּכַל לְהַרְוִיחַ אוֹתוֹ כְּבַתְּחִלָּה.<\/div>\n

Zohar Terumah<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon opens a study and says that those who wish to benefit from the Light of the Holy one Bless Be He, should not accept it for free but make efforts according to what he receives from God.<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 16:16<\/a>
\n“אִישׁ, כְּמַתְּנַת יָדוֹ, כְּבִרְכַּת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, אֲשֶׁר נָתַן-לָךְ”
\n“Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YHVH<\/a> your God that he has given you.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar continues and quotes the verse below and asks why it said that people can connect to the study of the Torah that is the aspect of water, wine, and milk without money?
\nIsaiah 55:1<\/a>
\n“הוֹי כָּל-צָמֵא לְכוּ לַמַּיִם, וַאֲשֶׁר אֵין-לוֹ כָּסֶף; לְכוּ שִׁבְרוּ, וֶאֱכֹלוּ, וּלְכוּ שִׁבְרוּ בְּלוֹא-כֶסֶף וּבְלוֹא מְחִיר, יַיִן וְחָלָב”
\nRabbi Shimon answers that the Light is available to everyone without limit or payment of some kind but to actually draw the light of holiness a person should pay full price.<\/p>\n

The Zohar brings a story about King Solomon that could control the other side<\/a>. He learned from the king of the demons that whoever wishes to remove the spirit of negativity from himself should pay full price for everything that can help him draw light to his life.
\nThe negative side always exists where there is no earning process. When a person gets something that he could benefit from for free, the negative side gets attached to it. When the opportunity is found the negative side pulls the person to the place of lack and a greater desire for the self alone.<\/p>\n

Why do we need to earn the light when it’s given for free?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The world was created using the system of the ten Sefirot. Nine of them are Sefirot of Light and one, which is Malchut<\/a>, is the space where we use it. The tenth element of everything in existence is Malchut<\/a> that represents the desire to receive the light. Malchut<\/a> is the space where negativity settles in and ‘sucks’ the light out of it. That is why everything goes into decay and abides by the law of entropy.<\/p>\n

The efforts that we make during the process of earning ‘pushes’ the light back and the ‘black’ that swallows the light, turns ‘white’. This is the secret behind the action of tithing, which increases the ‘life’ energy of what we have and attracts more light.<\/p>\n
