Zohar Tetzaveh<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first word of the portion of Tetzaveh is ואתה , ‘and you..’. This word appears many times in the parasha. It is easily understood that God is addressing Moses in every ‘ואתה’ ‘and you’ but he doesn’t use his name directly.
\nMost of us know the simple explanation that Moses asked God to ‘carry’ the sins of people that made the Golden Calf. The condition was that if God doesn’t do so, then he must remove Moses’s name from the Torah. We should know that the entire Torah has the name of Moses.
\nMalachi 3:22<\/a>
\n“זִכְרוּ, תּוֹרַת מֹשֶׁה עַבְדִּי, אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִי אוֹתוֹ בְחֹרֵב עַל-כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל, חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים”
\n“Remember the Torah of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar section above reveals that Moses told God to erase his name from the Torah if he doesn’t forgive the Israelites<\/a>. Yet even though God didn’t kill the people, He still removed Moses’s name from this parasha and others in the Torah.
\nIn the book “כסא רחמים” (Hebrew book), Rabbi Rachamim Melamed Hakohen, reveals to us the connection between Moses’s condition and the outcome.
\nExodus 32:32<\/a>
\n“וְעַתָּה, אִם-תִּשָּׂא חַטָּאתָם; וְאִם-אַיִן–מְחֵנִי נָא, מִסִּפְרְךָ אֲשֶׁר כָּתָבְתָּ”
\n” But will you forgive their sin? If not, please wipe me out of the book you have written.”
\nThe last two words “אֲשֶׁר כָּתָבְתּ” “you have written” imply the names of the portions where Moses is not mentioned by name.<\/p>\n

The name of the portion of עקב Eikev has the meaning ‘as a result of…’ or ‘following…’.<\/p>\n
