3. וְגִילוּ בִּרְעָדָה – שֶׁאָסוּר לָאָדָם לִשְׂמֹחַ יוֹתֵר בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה. וְזֶה בְּדִבְרֵי הָעוֹלָם. אֲבָל בְּדִבְרֵי תוֹרָה וּבְמִצְווֹת הַתּוֹרָה צָרִיךְ לִשְׂמֹחַ. אַחַר כָּךְ יִמָּצֵא אָדָם שֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה בְשִׂמְחָה אֶת מִצְווֹת הַתּוֹרָה, שֶׁכָּתוּב עִבְדוּ אֶת ה’ בְּשִׂמְחָה.
\n4. רַבִּי אַבָּא אָמַר, עִבְדוּ אֶת ה’ בְּיִרְאָה – סוֹד הַדָּבָר הוּא. עִבְדוּ אֶת ה’ בְּיִרְאָה, אֵיזוֹ יִרְאָה כָּאן? אֶלָּא כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאַרְנוּ, שֶׁכָּתוּב (משלי א) יִרְאַת ה’ רֵאשִׁית דָּעַת, וְכָתוּב (תהלים קיא) רֵאשִׁית חָכְמָה יִרְאַת ה’. יִרְאַת ה’ – כָּךְ נִקְרָא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר אָמַר, עִבְדוּ אֶת ה’ בְּיִרְאָה – מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לַעֲשׂוֹת עֲבוֹדַת אֲדוֹנוֹ, מֵאֵיזֶה מָקוֹם מַתְחִיל, וּבְאֵיזֶה מָקוֹם יְכַוֵּן אֶת הָעֲבוֹדָה לְיַחֵד אֶת שֵׁם רִבּוֹנוֹ? חָזַר וְאָמַר, בְּיִרְאָה. בְּיִרְאָה הִיא הָרֵאשִׁית, מִמַּטָּה לְמַעְלָה. (בֹּא רְאֵה, בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן הֲרֵי בֵּאַרְנוּ, וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר הַדָּבָר).

Zohar Acharei Mot<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leviticus 16:3<\/a>
\n“בְּזֹאת יָבֹא אַהֲרֹן, אֶל-הַקֹּדֶשׁ”
\n“With ‘this’ Aaron will come into the Holy”
\nWe studied before that ‘this’ is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> (read https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/daily-zohar-1420\/). Psalms 2:11<\/a> “עִבְדוּ אֶת-יְהוָה בְּיִרְאָה; וְגִילוּ, בִּרְעָדָה.”
\n“Serve YHVH<\/a> with awe, and rejoice with trembling.”.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Aba and Rabbi Elazar discuss this verse and explain that awe of YHVH<\/a> is Malchut<\/a>. When we come to make a connection to the Light from above we start the awakening process from below with awe and trembling. The righteousness of Nadav and Avihu<\/a> didn’t have the right ingredient. They had a personal agenda to finish the global Tikkun process and didn’t consider the high priest, their father, nor accepted the tikkun process.<\/p>\n

The Zohar teaches us here that our spiritual connection should be with awe and understanding that everything must follow the path of YHVH<\/a>. True joy and excitement can come only through the study of Torah and Zohar. All other expressions of happiness from the material world are temporary and should not be our goal.<\/p>\n

Good students of Kabbalah and Zohar feel the continuous joy of having this knowledge. Materials can provide only temporary pleasures and joy. The Zohar study elevates the soul and adds value to it that is carried beyond our temporary existence in this world.<\/p>\n
