\n…Praised are the Israelites<\/a> that the superior Torah of truth was granted to them. Whoever says that the Torah stories are simple and relate only to that story itself, may his breathe leave his body. The Torah is superior, holy and truth.<\/p>\n

Why did Rabbi Shimon curse the small and close minded people in such a way?<\/p>\n

Those who read the Torah without understanding the depth of it are like those who think that a person has no soul.<\/p>\n

Genesis 2:7<\/a>
\n“וַיִּיצֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאָדָם, עָפָר מִן-הָאֲדָמָה, וַיִּפַּח בְּאַפָּיו, נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים; וַיְהִי הָאָדָם, לְנֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה”
\n“then YHVH<\/a> God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”<\/p>\n

God gave us the breath of life, and if we don’t acknowledge its existence then we don’t deserve to have it. Rabbi Shimon doesn’t even curse without a reference to the Torah.
\nThe verb in God’s action is “יִּפַּח” + the letter Vav “וַיִּפַּח” that is the channel of Life to the world, and it also represents the Torah. The nostrils on the face represent Vav, Zeir Anpin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The verb Rabbi Shimon uses is the same “יִּפַּח” but with the letter ת Tav, that is the last letter of the Hebrew Alef-Bet<\/a>, the last letter of the word for ‘death’, “מוות”. It is also the last letter in the word “Malchut<\/a>” “מלכות<\/a>”.<\/p>\n

The deeper we study the Zohar and reveal the secrets of the Torah, the greater the energy of Life that we draw into our lives. Every word in the Zohar reveals the spiritual energies that comes from the Torah. With the Zohar we can breathe the Life force that God breathed into our nostrils.<\/p>\n
