Tikkun 18<\/strong> Continue<\/p>\n

The Kabbalistic prayers are arranged in a way that they elevate us to a high spiritual point where we can tap into spiritual energy and draw it down.<\/p>\n

The high point is achieved in two parts while standing. First step is done individually in silent, then the leader of the prayer repeats the same connection for everyone to hear and answer the blessings with the word Amen.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of this prayer we whisper 6 words from Psalms 51:15<\/a> “אֲדֹנָי שְׂפָתַי תִּפְתָּח וּפִי יַגִּיד תְּהִלָּתֶךָ” “Lord, open my lips. My mouth shall declare your praise.”, אֲדֹנָי has same numerical value of הכלי, meaning the vessel. The six words also create an angel that carries the prayer to the supernal<\/a> level. What does “open my lips” mean? King David wrote these words, not as a mute but as an expression of the desire to draw the light into his vessel. The mouth is the opening that draws life into the body through breathing air and consuming food . When we open our mouth with words of light we connect to the energy of fulfillment from the Creator. The 18 blessings of this part connect us to the drawing and returning light with 9 Sefirot of light from Yessod<\/a> up to Keter<\/a> through the silent part and 9 Sefirot from Keter<\/a> down to Yessod<\/a> through the repetition. Answering Amen is very important because it uses upper and lower name of God יאהדונהי to manifest the blessing.<\/p>\n

The prayer that precedes the silent connection is based mostly on King David’s Psalms. This prepares and expands our vessels to receive the light when we are at the standing.<\/p>\n

Psalms 81:11<\/a> God says “הַרְחֶב-פִּיךָ, וַאֲמַלְאֵהוּ” “open your mouth wide and I will fill it”. Meaning, open your vessel wide and I will fill it. In the silence of our heart we should build a pure vessel. God keeps his promises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
