Deuteronomy 3:24<\/a>
\n“אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה, אַתָּה הַחִלּוֹתָ לְהַרְאוֹת אֶת-עַבְדְּךָ, אֶת-גָּדְלְךָ, וְאֶת-יָדְךָ הַחֲזָקָה–אֲשֶׁר מִי-אֵל בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ, אֲשֶׁר-יַעֲשֶׂה כְמַעֲשֶׂיךָ וְכִגְבוּרֹתֶךָ.”
\n“‘O Lord GOD, you have only begun to show your servant your greatness and your mighty hand. For what God is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as yours?”<\/p>\n

Moshe starts by saying the names of God “אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה”. The first one ‘אֲדֹנָי’ is of the level of Malchut<\/a>, and the second is the supernal<\/a> that in a concealed level.<\/p>\n

Moses acknowledges God as the only power in the universe. He creates affinity to help him pass his prayers upward. Then in the next verse Moses expresses his wish;<\/p>\n

3:25 ” אֶעְבְּרָה-נָּא, וְאֶרְאֶה אֶת-הָאָרֶץ הַטּוֹבָה, אֲשֶׁר, בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן: הָהָר הַטּוֹב הַזֶּה, וְהַלְּבָנֹן”
\n“Please let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and Lebanon.’”<\/p>\n

Moses wants to see the good mountain, which is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem<\/a> and the Holy Temple that is mentioned here as “הַלְּבָנֹן”, a name that has the same numerical value as ‘קבלה’, ‘Kabbalah’.<\/p>\n

To describe the power of the prayers, the Zohar mentions the prayer of King Hezekiah. Sennacherib king of Assyria came with huge armies to Israel<\/a>. Hezekiah tried to use peaceful solutions and sent money but the Assyrians kept coming.
\nHezekiah prayed to God saying:
\n2 Kings 19:15<\/a>
\n“וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל חִזְקִיָּהוּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה, וַיֹּאמַר, יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יֹשֵׁב הַכְּרֻבִים, אַתָּה-הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים לְבַדְּךָ לְכֹל מַמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ; אַתָּה עָשִׂיתָ, אֶת-הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת-הָאָרֶץ.”
\n“And Hezekiah prayed before YHVH<\/a> and said: “O YHVH<\/a>, the God of Israel<\/a>, enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth.”<\/p>\n

We see here the similarities in the prayer of Moses and the righteous King Hezekiah. They begin with acknowledging God and the connection between heaven and earth before expressing their wish. Rabbi Shimon also uses the same method but thats a topic of another study.<\/p>\n

Moses prayed 515 times, a number that represents the number of hours from Rosh Hashanah until the Hashanah Raba, the last day of Sukkot when all our tikkun processes for the year are sealed by the upper court.
\nMoses wanted to enter the Promised Land and by that complete the Global Tikkun and establish permanent connection between the heavens, Light and earth, the vessel. God stopped Moses from continuing his prayers because the people were not ready for it.
\nIn the case of Hezekiah God accepted his prayers and the outcome was:
\n2 Kings 19:35<\/a>
\n“וַיְהִי, בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא, וַיֵּצֵא מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה וַיַּךְ בְּמַחֲנֵה אַשּׁוּר, מֵאָה שְׁמוֹנִים וַחֲמִשָּׁה אָלֶף; וַיַּשְׁכִּימוּ בַבֹּקֶר, וְהִנֵּה כֻלָּם פְּגָרִים מֵתִים.”
\n“And that night the angel of YHVH<\/a> went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.”
\nGod did everything for Hezekiah and Israel<\/a>. God killed the entire Assyrian army. It was not death by swords or any natural event like earthquake, flood or fire. The bodies remained complete but lifeless so everyone would know that the hand of God that protected the nation of Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One lesson from this study: Israel<\/a> is now under attack from an enemy that doesn’t listen to reasons and wishes to destroy Israel<\/a> before continuing their desire to dominate the world.
\nThe only solution is the understanding that only God can help in this situation and we should pray to him from the depth of our hearts and souls. The unity among the people of Israel<\/a> is high at this time and we see many miracles. The entire world needs to be in unity to stop the evil from spreading around the world.
