It is called &amp;quot;Mount Zion&rdquo; because it is the higher level where we can see the Light. It is the center of the world. The first letter of &#1497;&#1505;&#1493;&#1491;,&nbsp;Yessod, is Yod to tell us that it includes the light from the highest level. The word &#1497;&#1505;&#1493;&#1491; has a numerical value of 80 to tell us that it is spread from the level of Chokmah&nbsp;down with the ability to connect to&nbsp;Malchut. Jerusalem is Malchut and below Yesod.Jerusalem of the lower level is dark without the light from the &lsquo;Mount of Zion&rsquo; that brings completion and fulfillment.Jerusalem is considered &amp;#039;sick&amp;#039; without the constant flow of Light from the Holy Temple. That is why Jerusalem is a code word for the soul&rsquo;s yearning for the light, feeling sick without it.This aspect is revealed in the name &amp;#039;Jerusalem&amp;#039; itself (Check the term Jerusalem).&amp;amp;nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=zion\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>Zion<\/a>) there should be at least several minutes a day of studying the Zohar, in order to save the Jewish nation?<\/p>\n<p>How can it be that Jewish blood is spilling like water, and yet the one piece of advice offered by the Sages, which could save the Jewish nation, and bring about the Redemption with mercy &ndash; even in a generation where everyone is guilty &ndash; is not heeded?<\/p>\n<p>Are we waiting, Heaven forbid, for rivers of blood to flow, and only then we will awaken? And why aren&rsquo;t we at least trying to show the Holy One, blessed be He, that we desire to fulfill the only piece of advice that is written in the <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Oral Torah&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Oral TorahThe discussion and studies that set the ethics, laws, statutes, and legal interpretations of the written Torah, which is the Five Books of Moses.Moses received the Oral Torah on Mount Sinai and passed it down orally in an unbroken chain from generation to generation until its content was finally committed to writing following the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, when Jewish civilization was faced with an existential threat, by virtue of the dispersion of the Jewish people.&amp;lt;sup id=&amp;quot;cite_ref-1&amp;quot; class=&amp;quot;reference&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/sup&amp;gt;The major repositories of the Oral Torah are the&nbsp;&amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Mishnah&amp;lt;\/i&amp;gt;, compiled between 200&ndash;220 CE by&nbsp;Rabbi Yehudah haNasi, and the&nbsp;&amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Gemara&amp;lt;\/i&amp;gt;, a series of running commentaries and debates concerning the Mishnah, which together forms the &amp;lt;i&amp;gt;Talmud&amp;lt;\/i&amp;gt;, the preeminent text of Rabbinic Judaism. In fact, two &amp;quot;versions&amp;quot; of the Talmud exist: one produced in the&nbsp;Galilee&nbsp;c.&nbsp;300&ndash;350 CE (the&nbsp;Jerusalem Talmud), and a second, more extensive Talmud compiled in&nbsp;Babylonia&nbsp;c.&nbsp;450&ndash;500 CE (the&nbsp;Babylonian Talmud).&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=oral-torah\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Oral Torah<\/a> by the Sages, and to begin at least study the revealed aspects of the Zohar?<\/p>\n<p>Where are the Sephardic Jews, whose fathers and grandfathers occupied themselves primarily with this wisdom, and who in that merit were spared from Hitler &ndash; may his name be obliterated &ndash; entering their countries? Why hasn&rsquo;t mandatory study of the Zohar and all the other books dealing with the inner essence of the Torah been enacted for all students in every Kollel?<\/p>\n<p>How can it be that thousands of Torah scholars have reached a state of extreme difficulty in supporting themselves &ndash; a state which is only getting worse, Heaven forbid &ndash; and they are still not engaged in self-examination in order to determine the cause of this trouble, and what the Holy One, blessed be He wants of us? And why have we not enacted any ordinance whereby there should be public study of the Zohar, after being promised by the Sages that it would protect us, and provide us with abundance and a livelihood, even during difficult times?<\/p>\n<p>How can we ignore the Shechina crying out for her children and babies that have been captured, who are in danger, when we have the ability to save them? Can we say our hands did not spill their blood? And therefore &ldquo;they are not&rdquo;- her sons are not working towards hurrying the Mashiach&rsquo;s arrival.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Baal Hagovi<\/strong> <strong>on<\/strong> <strong>&ldquo;<em>Etz<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>Hachaim<\/em><\/strong>&rdquo; (in his recommendation for the book &ldquo;<em>Eifo<\/em> <em>Shliema<\/em>&rdquo; on <em>Otzrot<\/em> <em>Hachaim<\/em>) <strong>wrote that the poor people and people killed during the Exile accuse the Torah scholars in the Heavenly court of not studying Kabbalah, and the scholars are thereby punished.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The holy Or HaChaim <\/strong>(<em>Vayikra<\/em> 25, 25) <strong>wrote &ldquo;if your brother becomes destitute, etc.&rdquo;- this parasha alludes to something very great, and is a message to all the world&rsquo;s inhabitants: &ldquo;becomes destitute&rdquo;: when the beings in the Lower World stray off the straight path, and the good influences in the world disappear, the pillar of holiness loses its vitality, because much is dependent upon the beings in the Lower World. &ldquo;and sells some of his inherited property&rdquo; &ndash; he will desire the Mishkan, the Mishkan Haeidut [Sanctuary of Testimony], which due to our sins was handed to the gentile nations, and which according to what is written will be redeemed by the Righteous One who draws near to <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;hashem&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;#039;Hashem&amp;#039; is a reference to the name of YHVH.We say Hashem &amp;#039;the Name&amp;#039; instead of the actual call to &amp;#039;YHVH&amp;#039; that is not allowed except when we read the Torah in full verses or in blessings.&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=hashem\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Hashem<\/a>. After the Nukva is illuminated with the Light of Chokmah that comes from Binah, the Nukva is called Complete Faith, &#1488;&#1502;&#1493;&#1504;&#1492; &#1513;&#1500;&#1497;&#1502;&#1492;.Supreme Faith - &#1488;&#1502;&#1493;&#1504;&#1492; &#1506;&#1500;&#1497;&#1493;&#1504;&#1492;This level is the connection to Binah with the study of the Torah to know the ways of the Holy One, Blessed be He.
