Deuteronomy (34:6)
\n” וַיִּקְבֹּר אֹתוֹ בַגַּי בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹאָב, מוּל בֵּית פְּעוֹר; וְלֹא-יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת-קְבֻרָתוֹ, עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה “
\n” And he was buried in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor; and no man knew of his burial site unto this day ”
\nGod gave Moses a personal care upon leaving the world. As we know from the Zohar, Moses was at the level of Da’at. This Sefira is revealed when Chokmah<\/a> is united with Binah<\/a> and above the regular life process. In Deuteronomy 31:2<\/a>, Moses tells the Israelites<\/a>: ”And he said unto them: ’I am a hundred and twenty years old this day; I cannot go out and come in anymore;” in his preparation to transfer the leadership to Joshua. Go out and come in refers to the traveling from the physical to the spiritual levels in order to talk to God. No one could see God and live because to see God you need to be in a spiritual state of existence. A physical body limits our ability to go above the seven Sefirot but Moses had this ability.<\/p>\n

When Moses passed away, he was beyond a physical form and therefore no one could handle a burial for him. Moses was actually alive and will reveal himself at the time of Mashiach. As we explained in previous commentary, the Word ” היום ” (this day) from the verse above is a code word for the day Mashiach will be revealed. This verse also tells us that no one “knew” his burial site. The Torah uses past tense to tell us that we will see Moses in the Future, which is ” הַיּוֹם ” ‘this day’, the day of Mashiach.<\/p>\n
