Zohar Noah<\/strong><\/p>\n

Genesis 6:9<\/a>
\n“אֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת נֹחַ נֹחַ<\/strong> אִישׁ צַדִּיק תָּמִים הָיָה בְּדֹרֹתָיו אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים הִתְהַלֶּךְ נֹחַ”
\n““These are the generations of Noah Noah<\/strong> was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.””<\/p>\n

Noah is mentioned in the Torah with double name, ‘Noah Noah<\/strong>’. Moses, Jacob, Abraham and Samuel the prophet were all mentioned with their name doubled, except for Isaac. The Zohar explains that the righteous people have two connected souls, one in this world and one for the world to come. Isaac is a special case because when his father, Abraham, sent his hand with the knife to kill him, the soul of this world left him and when the angel stopped Abraham from completing the act, Isaac received his soul of the world to come.<\/p>\n

Because of that event, his father was called “מחיה המתים” “resurrect the dead”. This is the second blessing of the silent prayer. The first one is for Abraham, Chessed<\/a>. The Second if for Isaac, Gevurah<\/a>, and the reference to the resurrection of the dead.<\/p>\n

The binding of Isaac was a process of controlling the left side with the Chessed<\/a> of Abraham. Because of that, Isaac could bring a pure and complete child, Jacob, to the world. Jacob benefitted from the work of his father and grandfather and was able to form the third column and establish balance in the Tree of Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His righteousness earned him the name Israel<\/a> and becoming the seed of all Israelites<\/a>.<\/p>\n
