1. וַיֵּצֵא יַעֲקֹב מִבְּאֵר שָׁבַע וַיֵּלֶךְ חָרָנָה. רַבִּי חִיָּיא פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (קהלת א) וְזָרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ וּבָא הַשָּׁמֶשׁ וְאֶל מְקוֹמוֹ שׁוֹאֵף זוֹרֵחַ הוּא שָׁם. הַפָּסוּק הַזֶּה בֵּאֲרוּהוּ, אֲבָל וְזָרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ – זֶה יַעֲקֹב כְּשֶׁהָיָה בִּבְאֵר שֶׁבַע. וּבָא הַשָּׁמֶשׁ – כְּשֶׁהָלַךְ לְחָרָן, שֶׁכָּתוּב וַיָּלֶן שָׁם כִּי בָא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ. וְאֶל מְקוֹמוֹ שׁוֹאֵף זוֹרֵחַ, שֶׁכָּתוּב וַיִּשְׁכַּב בַּמָּקוֹם הַהוּא.
\n2. וּבֹא וּרְאֵה, אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁהַשֶּׁמֶשׁ מֵאִיר לְכָל הָעוֹלָם, מַסְעוֹתָיו הֵם בִּשְׁנֵי צְדָדִים, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר הוֹלֵךְ אֶל דָּרוֹם וְסוֹבֵב אֶל צָפוֹן, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁזֶּה יָמִין וְזֶה שְׂמֹאל. Zohar Vayetze<\/strong><\/p>\n

Genesis 28:10<\/a> “וַיֵּצֵא יַעֲקֹב, מִבְּאֵר שָׁבַע; וַיֵּלֶךְ, חָרָנָה”
\n“And Jacob went out from Beer-Sheba, and went toward Haran”<\/p>\n

Rabbi Chiah in the Zohar explains that Jacob ‘went out’ is the aspect of sun coming out. ‘Beer Sheba’ means ‘the well of seven’ and is the aspect of the sun. This ‘well\/sun’ as Rabbi Ashlag explains is Binah<\/a> that is the source of Light for Zeir Anpin<\/a>. The light of the sun for us represents Zeir Anpin<\/a> that delivers the life force from Binah<\/a> to the world.
\nHaran is the female, Malchut<\/a> that receives the Light from Zeir Anpin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The sun delivers light to the entire world even though it is (Ecclesiastes 1:6<\/a> ) “Going unto the south, and turning round unto the north”. The sun comes out of the East, that is the Right column<\/a> and Chessed<\/a>, and turns to the North, that is Left column<\/a> and Gevurah<\/a>.
\nJacob comes out from the Right, turns to the North to include Left column<\/a>, and goes toward Haran, the West, bringing Light to Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon brings another explanation. Beer Sheba is Malchut<\/a> included with the Light of the pure system. Jacob went toward Haran that is a negative place, is the aspect of going from the pure side to the other side<\/a>.<\/p>\n
