Zohar Vayetze<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n“נִשְׁבַּע יְהוָה בִּימִינוֹ, וּבִזְרוֹעַ עֻזּוֹ”
\n“YHVH<\/a> has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm:”<\/p>\n

The Zohar reveals to us that the Holy One Bless be He wears Tefilin (Phylacteries), quotes the verse above, and explains that the ‘right hand’ is the Torah, and the ‘mighty arm’ is the Tefilin.<\/p>\n

‘Sworn’ is the aspect of spiritual connection. The Holy One here is Zeir Anpin<\/a>, that makes a connection to the upper Sefirot of Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a> with Chessed<\/a> and Gevurah<\/a>, drawing the Light to the Lower levels.<\/p>\n

The head part of the Tefilin has four chambers with four different sections from the Torah written on parchments. Each segment is significant, and it is hand-written on parchment by a scribe with a special meditation. It is like having a Torah connection every day; we wear Tefilin during the morning prayers.<\/p>\n

The four parts of Tefilin are<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Exodus 13:1<\/a>-10
\n2. Exodus 13:11<\/a>-15
\n3. Deuteronomy 6:4<\/a>-9
\n4. Deuteronomy 11:13<\/a>-21<\/p>\n

This sequence is according to Rabbi Shlomo Yitzahaki, Rashi<\/a>.
\nTefilin according to Rabenu Tam <\/a>is arranged in the sequence of 1,2,4,3<\/p>\n

The Tefilin of the hand has only one chamber that holds one roll of parchment, with the same text as on the head Tefilin.<\/p>\n

Jacob “went out of Beer Sheba” is the aspect of the higher connection that he made to the upper levels, drawing the Light to Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jacob also made a vow (sworn) (Genesis 28:20<\/a>), declaring his faith<\/a> in God to bind him to the central column that was just formed when he came to the place of the Holy Temple.<\/p>\n

Jacob placed the stone that represents the ‘Middle Point’ as a ‘pillar’ ‘מצבה’ as a testimony to the Light he received and promised God to give a tithe from everything he receives.
\nThe name of the stone ‘מצבה’ has a numerical value of 137 which is the same as for the word קבלה, ‘Kabbalah’.<\/p>\n
