&#1492;&#1463;&#1499;&#1465;&#1468;&#1500; &#1492;&#1464;&#1489;&#1462;&#1500;&rdquo;<br>\n&ldquo;Vanity of vanities, said the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The word &lsquo;vanity&rsquo; in Hebrew &lsquo;&#1492;&#1489;&#1500;&rsquo; and it means &lsquo;vapor&rsquo; (of the mouth).<br>\nVanity (singular) equals 1, vanities (plural) equals, 2 and following this method we find seven &lsquo;vapors&rsquo; in the verse.<\/p>\n<p>The Zohar explains that King Solomon, who wrote Ecclesiastes, based his book on seven &lsquo;vapors&rsquo;. They are the foundations that support the existence of the world. The body of a person cannot exist without the &lsquo;vapor&rsquo;, and so&nbsp;does&nbsp;the world.<\/p>\n<p>The voice, &lsquo;&#1511;&#1493;&#1500;&rsquo; is the inner energy that drives the vapor and transforms it to spoken words. The first level of voice (inner, brain) is Neshamah. The second level of vapor vibrates out of the lungs (supported by the heart) and this is the level of <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Soul levels&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Soul levels&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Nefesh&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the lower level of Light in the body but is the most important to sustain the life of a person. The Liver is the control center of the Nefesh in the body.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ruach&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is higher and comes from Zeir Anpin. We achieve this additional light in this world by following the ways of the Torah with the general rule &amp;quot;Do good and avoid bad&rdquo;. The Heart is the center for the Ruach.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Neshama&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the highest level of Light that can be achieved in this world. Righteous people that already have the level of Ruach and act selflessly for the benefit of others, can achieve the level of Neshama. Since it&rsquo;s the highest level, it connects to the brain.The higher-level of the soul controls the level below it. Neshamah and Ruach can leave the person if he loses the righteous path.
