1. וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ. רַבִּי חִיָּיא פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (איוב כח) קֵץ שָׂם לַחֹשֶׁךְ וּלְכָל תַּכְלִת הוּא חוֹקֵר אֶבֶן אֹפֶל וְצַלְמָוֶת. הַפָּסוּק הַזֶּה נִתְבָּאֵר, קֵץ שָׂם לַחֹשֶׁךְ – זֶהוּ הַקֵּץ שֶׁל הַשְּׂמֹאל, שֶׁהוּא מְשׁוֹטֵט בָּעוֹלָם וּמְשׁוֹטֵט לְמַעְלָה, וְעוֹמֵד לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא וּמַסְטִין וּמְקַטְרֵג עַל הָעוֹלָם, וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר. וּלְכָל תַּכְלִית הוּא חוֹקֵר – שֶׁהֲרֵי כָּל מַעֲשָׂיו אֵינָם לְטוֹב, אֶלָּא תָּמִיד לְכַלּוֹת וְלַעֲשׂוֹת כְּלָיָה בָּעוֹלָם.

Zohar Miketz<\/strong><\/p>\n

Genesis 41:1<\/a>
\n“וַיְהִי, מִקֵּץ שְׁנָתַיִם יָמִים; וּפַרְעֹה חֹלֵם, וְהִנֵּה עֹמֵד עַל-הַיְאֹר”
\n“At the end of two full years, Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.”<\/p>\n

Job 28:3<\/a>
\n“קֵץ, שָׂם לַחֹשֶׁךְ, וּלְכָל-תַּכְלִית, הוּא חוֹקֵר: אֶבֶן אֹפֶל וְצַלְמָוֶת.”
\n“He puts an end to darkness, And to the farthest limit he searches out The rock in gloom and shadow of death.”<\/p>\n

‘The end’ is the end of the Left that is not included with the Right. It is Satan<\/a> and the Angel of Death<\/a>. He is all over the world, searching for people and encouraging them to sin and fall off the path. Then he stands in front of the Holy One Blessed be He and prosecutes them. All his actions are meant to bring end to the souls of people.
\n‘The Rock’ is the stumbling stone that the Satan<\/a> puts in front of us.<\/p>\n

The name of the portion, ‘Miketz’, means ‘at the end’. The Zohar connects it to the control of the other side<\/a>, which is Satan<\/a> and Death. Pharaoh represents the control of the other side<\/a> on the world.<\/p>\n

The Torah story that begins with Miketz describes the events leading to the Redemption of the Israelites<\/a>. From the slavery to Egypt, the control of the other side<\/a>, to freedom and the receiving of the Torah.<\/p>\n

The sages tell us that the Final Redemption will be similar in process but with greater miracles.<\/p>\n
