12. אָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, תַּחַת כִּסֵּא הַכָּבוֹד הַקָּדוֹשׁ, יַעֲקֹב סַפִּיר, שֶׁהִיא מִדַּת הַדִּין לְצִדּוֹ. בָּא וְאָמַר, (שם לב) לֹא יַעֲקֹב יֵאָמֵר עוֹד שִׁמְךָ כִּי אִם יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי שָׂרִיתָ עִם אֱלֹהִים וְעִם אֲנָשִׁים וַתּוּכָל. אַתָּה מוֹצֵא שֶׁיַּעֲקֹב רָאָה לְצִדּוֹ מִדַּת הַדִּין. וַיִּזְרַח לוֹ הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ כַּאֲשֶׁר עָבַר אֶת פְּנוּאֵל וְגוֹ’, וְסוֹד הַדָּבָר – (ירמיה ו) אוֹי לָנוּ כִּי פָנָה הַיּוֹם כִּי יִנָּטוּ צִלְלֵי עָרֶב.
\n13. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אָמַר, כְּשֶׁהֻגְלוּ מִירוּשָׁלַיִם וְהוּסַר הַתָּמִיד, וְטִמֵּא הַשּׂוֹנֵא אֶת הַהֵיכָל, בַּזְּמַן הַהוּא לֹא סָבְלָה הַמַּלְכוּת אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִשּׁוּם חֲטָאֵיהֶם, אֶלָּא יִשְׂרָאֵל, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהִיא מִשְּׁנֵי צְדָדִים – רַחֲמִים וְדִין.
\n14. וְהַמִּלָּה שֶׁל לֹא יַעֲקֹב יֵאָמֵר עוֹד שִׁמְךָ כִּי אִם יִשְׂרָאֵל, כַּאֲשֶׁר מִתְבָּאֵר בִּסבָרָא. יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיַעֲקֹב – זֶה עֶלְיוֹן מִזֶּה, וּבִגְלָלָם הָיָה מַטֵּה מֹשֶׁה חָקוּק מִשְּׁנֵי צְדָדָיו מִשְּׁמוֹ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, אֶחָד רַחֲמִים בְּדִין, וְאֶחָד דִּין בְּדִין.<\/div>\n

Zohar Vayechi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon teaches us that when the enemy brought impurities into the Holy Temple the continuous light that was flowing through it stopped and the Israelites<\/a> went into exile.<\/p>\n

At that time Malchut<\/a> couldn’t carry the sins of the Israelites<\/a> and the judgments that come to them. The spiritual level that is called Israel<\/a> could give them support because this level is the Central Column that includes the Right, mercy, and and the Left, judgment.<\/p>\n

The Zohar reveals that on Moses’s staff the name of mercy was written on one side and the name of judgment on the other side<\/a>. It gave Moses the ability to channel light and support his actions and the miracles he performed with the staff.<\/p>\n

Lesson: When connecting the right with the left column<\/a> we create a channel of light to our lives.
\nExperiencing any kind of judgment is the aspect of the left column<\/a>. It could be caused by our negative and impure actions, desire for the self alone, or seeking light without the following the process of earning it.
\nConnecting the right column<\/a> is the aspect of sharing, tithing, studying the Zohar, prayers and doing any of the 248 precepts of “you shall do…” (The other 365 precepts help us to avoid judgment).<\/p>\n

Each type of judgment has it’s own method of correction. It is the type of positive action that will draw the light and remove the judgment.<\/p>\n

When we do positive actions without reasons of making correction, we increase the light in our vessels and elevate to righteousness.<\/p>\n
