Zohar Vayechi<\/strong><\/p>\n

When God made the covenant with Abraham he told him that in the future his offspring will be in exile for 400 years.
\nGenesis 15:13<\/a>
\n“ וַיֹּאמֶר לְאַבְרָם, יָדֹעַ תֵּדַע כִּי-גֵר יִהְיֶה זַרְעֲךָ בְּאֶרֶץ לֹא לָהֶם, וַעֲבָדוּם, וְעִנּוּ אֹתָם–אַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת, שָׁנָה.”
\n“Then YHVH<\/a> said to Abram, “Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land (אֶרֶץ) that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar discusses the fact that the exile was only for 290 years. Joseph<\/a> lived 110 years and during his lifetime, there was no slavery. The Zohar explains that, nevertheless, Joseph<\/a>’s life was dedicated by God for the process of redemption from the day he was born. (Genesis 45:5<\/a>) “It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives”.
\nFrom the aspect of exile, his life was considered as the ‘pregnancy’ period for the exile. Because of that the length of the exile adds up to 400 years (110+290).<\/p>\n

The number 400 was found concealed in the above verse in the word in ‘a land’. Land is אֶרֶץ. The רץ is numerically 290 and the spelled א is 110 אלף, same as the number of years Joseph<\/a> lived.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Ashlag, who is my main Zohar study source, mentions in his ‘Hasulam’ commentary the verse from Daniel 12:11<\/a>
\n“וּמֵעֵת הוּסַר הַתָּמִיד, וְלָתֵת שִׁקּוּץ שֹׁמֵם–יָמִים, אֶלֶף מָאתַיִם וְתִשְׁעִים”
\n“And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away (meaning the destruction of the Holy Temple) and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days.”<\/p>\n

In this verse we find again the reference to אלף and 290. אלףis the name of the letter א and also means 1000. א is the ‘head’ of the Sefirot with the holy name name אהיה<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The number 1290 is strongly connected to the length of the exile. Many tried to calculate the time of the Final Redemption from the prophecy of Daniel but as we know the Torah and the prophets deliver the words of God in concealment. No one can predict the correct time with certainty.
\nIn Daniel 12:13<\/a> we read “But go you your way until the end; for you shall rest, and shall stand in your lot, at the end of the days.”
\nThe common translation of the Hebrew words “קֵץ הַיָּמִין” is “end of the days” but it is actually ‘end of the Right’. It won’t make sense in any translations to use ‘Right’ so they use ‘days’ instead. Kabbalistically, ‘end of the Right’ is when the flow of the Right column<\/a> is stopped and negativity, the Left column<\/a> and judgment, grow.<\/p>\n

We live in a time when it is hard to draw light of Chassadim<\/a>, except for those who are connected to the Light through Zohar study and acts of sharing.<\/p>\n

This is the process to expect at the end the ‘Exile’. Jacob and Joseph<\/a> died and for the Israelites<\/a> it was the ‘End of the Right’. Pharaoh came out with decrees to kill the boys of the Israelites<\/a> and other kinds of hardships.<\/p>\n

God ‘dimmed’ the light of Chassadim<\/a> in the world to give us opportunity to shine with our light. Also to allow negativity to grow and reveal itself because then it can be eliminated. The world’s leadership is weak and self serving, which means totally Left column<\/a>. One crazy leader can ignite the world into chaos. I don’t want to scare you but strengthen your connection to the ‘life saver’ and ‘Noah’s Ark’, which is the Zohar. For those who cling to it there will be no ‘end of Right’.<\/p>\n
