4. זֹהַר הָעֵץ הַזֶּה זָקוּף לְמַעְלָה לְמַעְלָה. חֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת פַּרְסָאוֹת הִלּוּכוֹ, הוּא שִׁשִּׁים רִבּוֹא בְּהִתְפַּשְּׁטוּתוֹ. בָּעֵץ הַזֶּה קַיָּם זֹהַר אֶחָד שֶׁכָּל הַגְּוָנִים קַיָּמִים בּוֹ הֵם גְּוָנִים שֶׁעוֹלִים וְיוֹרְדִים, לֹא מִתְיַשְּׁבִים בְּמָקוֹם אַחֵר פְּרָט לְאוֹתוֹ הָאִילָן.
\n5. כְּשֶׁיּוֹצְאִים מִמֶּנּוּ לְהֵרָאוֹת בְּתוֹךְ זֹהַר שֶׁלֹּא מֵאִיר, מִתְיַשְּׁבִים וְלֹא מִתְיַשְּׁבִים, עוֹמְדִים וְלֹא עוֹמְדִים, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁלֹּא מִתְיַשְּׁבִים בְּמָקוֹם אַחֵר. מֵעֵץ זֶה יוֹצְאִים שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר שְׁבָטִים שֶׁמְּתֻחָמִים בּוֹ, וְהֵם יוֹרְדִים בַּזֹּהַר הַזֶּה שֶׁלֹּא מֵאִיר לְתוֹךְ גָּלוּת מִצְרַיִם בְּכַמָּה מַחֲנוֹת עֶלְיוֹנִים. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְגוֹ’.

Zohar Shemot<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel 12:3<\/a>
\n“וְהַמַּשְׂכִּלִים–יַזְהִרוּ, כְּזֹהַר הָרָקִיעַ; וּמַצְדִּיקֵי, הָרַבִּים, כַּכּוֹכָבִים, לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד”
\n“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness (Zohar) of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar continues to explain this verse. The ‘wise’ people will shine with the light that is like the brightness of the sky. The word that is used to describe the shine of light that the ‘wise’ people will have is זֹהַר ‘Zohar’ of the sky, heavens. ‘Zohar’ means ‘Radiation of light’.<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that the word ‘Zohar’ is the fruit of the Tree, which is Zeir Anpin<\/a>. The souls are born from it and it gives life to all. The ‘wise’ ‘taste’ from its fruits and merit immortality.

\n“וְלָקַח גַּם מֵעֵץ הַחַיִּים, וְאָכַל, וָחַי לְעֹלָם”
\n“…and take also of the tree of life<\/a> and eat, and live forever”<\/p>\n

The Zohar connects the first verse (Exodus 1:1<\/a>) “These are the names of the sons of Israel<\/a> ” to the sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a>.
