Zohar Beshalach<\/strong><\/p>\n

The prophet Elisha wanted to make a prophecy on the king of Israel<\/a> and he asked for a musician.<\/p>\n

2 Kings 3:15<\/a>
\n“וְעַתָּה, קְחוּ-לִי מְנַגֵּן; וְהָיָה כְּנַגֵּן הַמְנַגֵּן, וַתְּהִי עָלָיו יַד-יְהוָה”
\n“”But now bring me a minstrel.” And it came about, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him (Elisha).”<\/p>\n

The Zohar also quotes from 1 Samuel 10:5<\/a> to explain that the connection of the light to Malchut<\/a> is ‘sweetened’ with singing and music.
\n“וּפָגַעְתָּ חֶבֶל נְבִאִים יֹרְדִים מֵהַבָּמָה, וְלִפְנֵיהֶם נֵבֶל וְתֹף וְחָלִיל וְכִנּוֹר, וְהֵמָּה מִתְנַבְּאִים”
\n“…you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, prophesying.”<\/p>\n

The numerical value for the world ‘prayer’, תפלה is 515 same as for ‘שירה’, ‘singing’. Every prayer and meditation should come from the heart as a song with desire to please the Endless light and open gates to the heavens.
\nMany parts of our prayers are recited in singing form. It helps to elevate the connection and to achieve its purpose, if the people who sing keep the proper consciousness of elevating their prayers from a pure heart and not a beautiful or loud voice.<\/p>\n

How to add music and increase the power of your meditation?<\/strong>
\nIt would be a good practice to prepare for a meditation with singing (do not disturb the neighbors because you don’t want negative energy attached to your prayers).<\/p>\n

You can start by humming a tune that you love and let it vibrate through your body. Have the YHVH<\/a> name in front of you or draw it in your mind.) Using your eyes, your soul connects the YHVH<\/a> name to your heart while you sing or hum. The vibration of your sound will turn into the language of your soul. Let the soul express itself even if the tune takes different direction. You may experience tears and other strong emotions floating with the music. Free yourself from negative thoughts and focus on your prayer. If you have the merits your prayers will be answered.<\/p>\n
