\nZohar Shemini<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moses initiated the Holy Tabernacle and now God asks him to transfer the duties to Aaron and his sons. The process should take seven days and during this time they should not leave the Tabernacle.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 8:33<\/a>
\n“וּמִפֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לֹא תֵצְאוּ, שִׁבְעַת יָמִים–עַד יוֹם מְלֹאת, יְמֵי מִלֻּאֵיכֶם: כִּי שִׁבְעַת יָמִים, יְמַלֵּא אֶת-יֶדְכֶם”
\n“”You shall not go outside the doorway of the tent of meeting for seven days, until the day that the period of your ordination is fulfilled; for he will ordain you through seven days.”<\/p>\n

The literal translation says “in seven days he will fill your hands” and that is much clearer for us in understanding that the vessel of the newly appointed priests<\/a> is filled with Light of the seven sefirot. It will allow them easy connections to Binah<\/a>. The seven day process was probably the time when God marked the priests<\/a> with a special gene in their DNA.<\/p>\n

Shemini is the name of the portion and it means ‘the eighth’. On the eighth day the priests<\/a> were ready for their new duties and Aaron was ordered to bring his own sacrifice, a calf, to atone for the sin of the Golden Calf. After Aaron purified himself he could continue and process the sacrifices of the people.<\/p>\n

Lesson: The Talmud teaches us “מי שטרח בערב שבת יאכל בשבת” “He who was prepared before Shabbat, will eat on Shabbat”. During the weekdays we prepare our vessel for the light of Binah<\/a> revealed on Shabbat.
\nIt is always better to have a shabbat between an idea and the beginning of its manifestation. The Shabbat injects the light of Binah<\/a> and empowers the vessel to do more and better.<\/p>\n
