We use the short form (Sam) to avoid repeating the name. When we say names of negative forces, we manifest them and want to avoid them. (Sam) is a name that references the Snake, the angel of death, the evil inclination, and any destructive force in life.  &lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=sam\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Sama-el<\/a> and a male energy.
