22. רַבִּי יִצְחָק וְרַבִּי יְהוּדָה הָיוּ הוֹלְכִים מֵאוּשָׁא לְלוֹד. אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה (יִצְחָק), נֹאמַר דִּבְרֵי תוֹרָה וְנֵלֵךְ. פָּתַח רַבִּי יְהוּדָה (יִצְחָק) וְאָמַר, (שמות כא) כִּי יִפְתַּח אִישׁ בּוֹר אוֹ כִּי יִכְרֶה אִישׁ בֹּר וְגוֹ’. מַה כָּתוּב אַחֲרָיו? בַּעַל הַבּוֹר יְשַׁלֵּם וְגוֹ’. וּמָה עַל זֶה כָּךְ – מִי שֶׁגּוֹרֵם לְהַסְרִיחַ הָעוֹלָם בַּחֲטָאָיו עַל אַחַת כַּמָּה וְכַמָּה. אֶלָּא תָּמַהְנוּ, שֶׁאַף עַל גַּב שֶׁמַּסְרִיחַ הָעוֹלָם, לָמָּה יֵשׁ לוֹ תְּשׁוּבָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב אִישׁ אוֹ אִשָּׁה כִּי יַעֲשׂוּ וְגוֹ’ וְהִתְוַדּוּ אֶת חַטָּאתָם וְהֵשִׁיב?

Zohar Naso<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exodus 21:33<\/a>
\n“ וְכִי-יִפְתַּח אִישׁ בּוֹר, אוֹ כִּי-יִכְרֶה אִישׁ בֹּר–וְלֹא יְכַסֶּנּוּ; וְנָפַל-שָׁמָּה שּׁוֹר, אוֹ חֲמוֹר”
\n“”If a man opens a pit, or digs a pit and does not cover it over, and an ox or a donkey falls into it,”<\/p>\n

34:
\n“ בַּעַל הַבּוֹר יְשַׁלֵּם, כֶּסֶף יָשִׁיב לִבְעָלָיו; וְהַמֵּת, יִהְיֶה-לּוֹ.”
\n“the owner of the pit shall make restoration. He shall give money to its owner, and the dead beast shall be his.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that a person who creates an opening for something that may harm others is fully responsible for it. He needs to pay for the physical damages.
\n“The dead shall be his” means that the negative outcome is carried with the Tikkun process.<\/p>\n

This study teaches us that we must take responsibility for all our actions. That includes actions that potentially could hurt others.
\nWhy?
\nIf we carry some negativity with us then it may influence our actions and create additional opening for negativity. We are responsible for the original actions that brought this negativity that we had not cleansed ourselves from.<\/p>\n
