The day of the new moon or immediately after. When the new moon starts on the last day of the month, we celebrate two days of Rosh Chodesh. In such a case, the second day is always the first day of the new month.On Rosh Chodesh, a new light appears in the world, and as the celestial element closer to earth, we are strongly affected by its position to other planets and distance from earth.It&amp;#039;s a positive day, and we make more studies and spiritual connections to draw greater Light on this day. In the Holy Temple, the priest sacrificed a goat to give the other side something to get busy with while we benefit from the Light revealed on that day. It&amp;#039;s a good day to give Tzedakah and light candles for Tzadikim. Even if there is no hilulah of Tzadikim on that day, some have the custom to light a candle for Rabbi Meir Baal Haness to receive protection and miracles during the coming month&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=rosh-chodesh-2\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">new moon<\/a>, at the full moon for our feast-day&rdquo;<br>\nOn the first day of the seventh month we celebrate Rosh Hashanah. The moon is still in the state before the sun\/light reveals itself. It is a state of judgment and our opportunity to have blessings as a result of it.<\/p>\n<p>The Zohar says that the food that we prepare on Rosh Hashanah is like the food Isaac asked his son to prepare before he can channel the blessings to him.<br>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sefaria.org\/Genesis.27.4?lang=bi&amp;with=all&amp;lang2=en\" target=\"_blank\">Genesis 27:4<\/a> &ldquo;&nbsp;&#1493;&#1463;&#1506;&#1458;&#1513;&#1461;&#1474;&#1492;-&#1500;&#1460;&#1497; &#1502;&#1463;&#1496;&#1456;&#1506;&#1463;&#1502;&#1460;&#1468;&#1497;&#1501; &#1499;&#1463;&#1468;&#1488;&#1458;&#1513;&#1462;&#1473;&#1512; &#1488;&#1464;&#1492;&#1463;&#1489;&#1456;&#1514;&#1460;&#1468;&#1497;, &#1493;&#1456;&#1492;&#1464;&#1489;&#1460;&#1497;&#1488;&#1464;&#1492; &#1500;&#1460;&#1468;&#1497;&ndash;&#1493;&#1456;&#1488;&#1465;&#1499;&#1461;&#1500;&#1464;&#1492;:&nbsp; &#1489;&#1463;&#1468;&#1506;&#1458;&#1489;&#1493;&#1468;&#1512; &#1514;&#1456;&#1468;&#1489;&#1464;&#1512;&#1462;&#1499;&#1456;&#1498;&#1464; &#1504;&#1463;&#1508;&#1456;&#1513;&#1460;&#1473;&#1497;, &#1489;&#1456;&#1468;&#1496;&#1462;&#1512;&#1462;&#1501; &#1488;&#1464;&#1502;&#1493;&#1468;&#1514;. &rdquo;<br>\n&ldquo;and make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless you before I die.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The different types of food we eat and the special blessings that we recite on Rosh Hashanah are our tools to transform the judgment to blessings. 14 days after that when we have the full moon of the seventh month, on the holiday of Sukkot we receive the blessings.<br>\nThe connection of the food on the material level empowers the <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Shofar&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Shofar- Tekiah, Shevarim, and TeruahA shofar is a horn typically made of a ram&amp;#039;s horn, used for religious purposes, mostly during Rosh Hashanah services.Some blow the Shofar during Selichot in the month of Elul which is before Rosh Hashanah.The sound made by the Shofar is Tekiah, Shevarim, and Teruah.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Shofar shapes:&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Shofar sounds&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt;https:\/\/youtu.be\/pVfV09CDmus&amp;amp;nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=shofar\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Shofar<\/a> that we use on Rosh Hashanah to break the negativity<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21\" title=\"Daily Zohar -350.
