And Sukkah shall be for a shadow in the day-time from the heat, and for a refuge and for a cover from storm and from rain&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Zohar quotes Isaiah and states that like Noah&rsquo;s Ark that provided protection from the judgments outside of the Ark, the Sukkah provides the same protection. Noah was asked to bring &ldquo;from all the &lsquo;living'&rdquo; &ldquo;&#1502;&#1499;&#1500; &#1492;&#1495;&#1497;&rdquo;. We can see things only when the light is directed toward an object (vessel) and the object reflects the light back. Black represents the desire for the self alone. It swallows the light but stays in the &lsquo;darkness&rsquo;. White shares everything it receives but has a great revelation of Light.<\/p>\n<p>The Shechina is the aspect of Sukkah. She protects us and spreads her wings like a <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Binah&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;When it is related to the Sefirot, &amp;#039;Mother&amp;#039; represents Binah. Also called Sea, source of &amp;#039;rivers&amp;#039;, from where Light flows to the lower worlds.
