19. דָּבָר אַחֵר טוֹב אִישׁ – זֶה צַדִּיק, שֶׁכָּתוּב (ישעיה ג) אִמְרוּ צַדִּיק כִּי טוֹב כִּי פְּרִי מַעַלְלֵיהֶם יֹאכֵלוּ. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אָמַר, זֶה נֹחַ, שֶׁכָּתוּב נֹחַ אִישׁ צַדִּיק. רַבִּי יִצְחָק אָמַר, זֶה הַשֶּׁבַח שֶׁל הַשַּׁבָּת שֶׁבּוֹ פָּתַח טוֹב, שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים צב) טוֹב לְהוֹדוֹת לַה’.

Isaiah 3:10<\/a>
\n“אִמְרוּ צַדִּיק, כִּי-טוֹב: כִּי-פְרִי מַעַלְלֵיהֶם, יֹאכֵלוּ.”
\n“Say to the righteous that it is good, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.”<\/p>\n

Noah was righteous. Righteousness is the aspect of Yessod<\/a> of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that brings sustenance to Malchut<\/a>.
\nThe Zohar connects righteousness to the Shabbat, when we receive the higher Light that is the purpose of the final correction of the world.<\/p>\n

Psalms 92:2<\/a>
\n“טוֹב, לְהֹדוֹת לַיהוָה; וּלְזַמֵּר לְשִׁמְךָ עֶלְיוֹן”
\n“good, giving thanks to YHVH<\/a>, and to sing praises to the supernal<\/a> (highest) name”<\/p>\n

This Psalms, that is included in every Shabbat prayer, connects us to the Light of the Shabbat. Rabbi Ashlag quotes Tikunei Zohar 19 and explains that before the end of the Tikkun the Light we receive is given to us as ‘borrowed’ Light. That means that connecting to Shabbat can give us Light even if we don’t have the vessel for it. If we ‘borrow’ without ‘earning’ then our balance sheet at the end of the Tikkun will show debts.<\/p>\n

That is why it is important to earn everything in this world. We may buy our food with our hard earned money but the energy of the Light in it should be earned with proper blessing and appreciation.<\/p>\n

Because of the first, sin we need to work to earn the Light. We should prepare and expand our vessel during the week so we can earn and receive a greater Light on Shabbat.
\nOur sages taught us: “Whoever does the work before Shabbat, eats on Shabbat”. “מי שטרח בערב שבת, יאכל בשבת”<\/p>\n

The Sefira of Yessod<\/a> is the funnel of the Light to the world and when we act with righteousness then we open the gate of sustenance (spiritual and material) to our lives.<\/p>\n

With this study we can now understand the verse from Ezekiel 46:1<\/a>
\n“כֹּה-אָמַר, אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה, שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִית הַפֹּנֶה קָדִים, יִהְיֶה סָגוּר שֵׁשֶׁת יְמֵי הַמַּעֲשֶׂה; וּבְיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת יִפָּתֵחַ, וּבְיוֹם הַחֹדֶשׁ יִפָּתֵחַ”
\n“Thus says YHVH<\/a> GOD, “The gate of the inner court facing east shall be shut the six working days; but it shall be opened on the sabbath day and opened on the day of the new moon<\/a>”<\/p>\n
