19. בֹּא רְאֵה, הַדָּבָר שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה לֹא מִתְעוֹרֵר עַד שֶׁמִּתְעוֹרֵר לְמַטָּה בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה עַל מַה שֶּׁיִּשְׁרֶה עָלָיו אוֹתוֹ שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה. וְסוֹד הַדָּבָר – הָאוֹר הַשָּׁחֹר אֵינוֹ נֶאֱחָז בָּאוֹר הַלָּבָן עַד שֶׁהִיא מִתְעוֹרֶרֶת בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה. כֵּיוָן שֶׁהִיא מִתְעוֹרֶרֶת בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה, מִיָּד שׁוֹרֶה עָלֶיהָ הָאוֹר הַלָּבָן.
\n20. וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב (שם פג) אֱלֹהִים אַל דֳּמִי לָךְ אַל תֶּחֱרַשׁ וְאַל תִּשְׁקֹט אֵל, כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יִפָּסֵק הָאוֹר הַלָּבָן מִן הָעוֹלָם לְעוֹלָמִים. וְכֵן (ישעיה סב) הַמַּזְכִּירִים אֶת ה’ אַל דֳּמִי לָכֶם, כְּדֵי לְעוֹרֵר לְמַטָּה בְּמַה שֶּׁתִּשְׁרֶה הַהִתְעוֹרְרוּת שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה. וְכֵן כֵּיוָן שֶׁמֵּעִיר אָדָם הִתְעוֹרְרוּת [טוֹבָה] בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה, אָז מִתְעוֹרֶרֶת הִתְעוֹרְרוּת שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה. בֹּא רְאֵה, כֵּיוָן שֶׁכָּתוּב וַיֵּצְאוּ אִתָּם מֵאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים וְגוֹ’, מִיָּד – וַיֹּאמֶר ה’ אֶל אַבְרָם וגו’.
\n21. וַיֹּאמֶר ה’ אֶל אַבְרָם לֶךְ לְךָ. אָמַר רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר, לֶךְ לְךָ – לְעַצְמְךָ, לְתַקֵּן אֶת עַצְמְךָ, [לְהִתְחַזֵּק] לְתַקֵּן אֶת דַּרְגָּתְךָ. לֶךְ לְךָ – אֵינְךָ [ס”א כְּדַאי] לַעֲמֹד כָּאן בֵּין הָרְשָׁעִים הַלָּלוּ.<\/div>\n

Zohar Lech Lecha<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Zohar teaches us that nothing above is awakened before there is something below that invites the Light from above. In simple words, if there is no vessel\/desire in the world of Malchut<\/a> the desired Light for fulfillment would not come down.<\/p>\n

Having desires running in the mind is not the awakening below that is needed for the Light to come. One must make an action to express his wishes and desires in practical ways.<\/p>\n

The Zohar brings the example of a candle that the white light doesn’t come to the flame of the candle until the black light of the candle is lit. The black light is the initial flame that appears when the fire holds the wick. Because Malchut<\/a> doesn’t have Light of its own, so the physical light is initially black and darkens the wick.<\/p>\n

When we light the candle in the ‘dark’, we create the awakening that brings the white Light that shines all around the initial dark flame.<\/p>\n

Psalms 83:2<\/a>
\n“אֱלֹהִים אַל-דֳּמִי-לָךְ; אַל-תֶּחֱרַשׁ וְאַל-תִּשְׁקֹט אֵל.”
\n“O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God!”<\/p>\n

God, ‘ELHIM’ is the aspect of the female in this world, making the Light available for our ‘vessels’.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 62:6<\/a>
\n“הַמַּזְכִּרִים, אֶת-יְהוָה–אַל-דֳּמִי, לָכֶם”
\n“For you who put the YHVH<\/a> in remembrance, I will not be silent,”<\/p>\n

The Light comes to those who remember the name of YHVH<\/a> in prayers.<\/p>\n

Genesis 11:31<\/a>
\n“וַיֵּצְאוּ אִתָּם מֵאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים, לָלֶכֶת אַרְצָה כְּנַעַן, וַיָּבֹאוּ עַד-חָרָן, וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם.”
\n“and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.”<\/p>\n

To emphasize the importance of awakening on the lower level the Zohar brings the example of Abram. After he and his family left the negativity and idol worshiping of their homeland, God revealed himself to Abram, guiding him into the Promised Land.<\/p>\n

Whatever we desire can not be fulfilled without following it with actions. Because of our individual tikkun it’s obvious that not every desire and action will bring immediate result. We should always pray to understand our mission in life and follow it.<\/p>\n

Abraham was born in 1948 (Hebrew Calendar), same number as this DZ study and as we start the week of Lech Lecha.<\/p>\n
