The male, <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;(Sam)&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Sam-el is the minister of the other side. We use the short form (Sam) to avoid repeating the name. When we say names of negative forces, we manifest them and want to avoid them. He came from the right side, restricted the left side, to create a central column and allow both Lights to be revealed in the world without the aspect of Judgment.<\/p>\n<p>The portions of Vayetze and Vayishlach have the stories about Jacob controlling the left and the negative side. When we study these portions we get the strength to control our negative side and overcome temptations coming from temporary pleasures of this world.<\/p>\n<p>We learn from Jacob to restrict, work hard with the Light guiding our ways and at the end we can also enjoy from the material world. Without fully correcting ourselves and removing the control of the negative side we can not enjoy the material world without the risk of losing the Light and connecting to death aspects in many areas of our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Remember!
