21. וַיְצַו אֹתָם לֵאמֹר כֹּה תֹאמְרוּן לַאדֹנִי לְעֵשָׂו כֹּה אָמַר עַבְדְּךָ יַעֲקֹב עִם לָבָן גַּרְתִּי וָאֵחַר עַד עָתָּה. מִיָּד פָּתַח יַעֲקֹב לְהִתְהַפֵּךְ לוֹ לְעֶבֶד כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יִסְתַּכֵּל עֵשָׂו בְּאוֹתָן בְּרָכוֹת שֶׁבֵּרְכוֹ אָבִיו, שֶׁהֲרֵי יַעֲקֹב הֶעֱבִיר אוֹתָן לַסּוֹף, כְּפִי שֶׁאָמַרְנוּ.
\n22. אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה, מָה רָאָה יַעֲקֹב שֶׁשָּׁלַח לְעֵשָׂו וְאָמַר עִם לָבָן גַּרְתִּי, וְכִי מֶה עָשָׂה בִּשְׁלִיחוּתוֹ שֶׁל עֵשָׂו [שֶׁאָמַר] דָּבָר זֶה? אֶלָּא לָבָן הָאֲרַמִּי, קוֹלוֹ הָלַךְ בָּעוֹלָם, שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה אָדָם שֶׁיִּנָּצֵל מִמֶּנּוּ, וְהוּא הָיָה מְכַשֵּׁף בִּכְשָׁפִים וְגָדוֹל בַּקּוֹסְמִים, וַאֲבִי בְּעוֹר הָיָה, וּבְעוֹר אֲבִי בִּלְעָם, שֶׁכָּתוּב (יהושע יג) בִּלְעָם בֶּן בְּעוֹר הַקּוֹסֵם, וְלָבָן חָכָם בַּמְּכַשְּׁפִים וּבַקּוֹסְמִים יוֹתֵר מִכֻּלָּם, וְעִם כָּל זֶה לֹא יָכֹל לְיַעֲקֹב, וְרָצָה לְאַבֵּד אֶת יַעֲקֹב בְּכַמָּה כְּלֵי זַיִן. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (דברים כו) אֲרַמִּי אֹבֵד אָבִי.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Vayishlach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jacob knew that his brother Esau awaits his return to kill him. Esau had a big army and Jacob was only with his family and servants. When Jacob was on his way to his homeland, he sent messengers to his brother Esau, telling him:<\/p>\n

Genesis 32:5<\/a>
\n“ וַיְצַו אֹתָם, לֵאמֹר, כֹּה תֹאמְרוּן, לַאדֹנִי לְעֵשָׂו: כֹּה אָמַר, עַבְדְּךָ יַעֲקֹב, עִם-לָבָן גַּרְתִּי, וָאֵחַר עַד-עָתָּה”
\n“He also commanded them saying, “Thus you shall say to my lord Esau: ‘Thus says your servant Jacob, “I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed until now;”<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains as we studied in previous DZ that Jacob wanted Esau to know that he lived with Laban for many years and came out as a wealthy person with many servants.
\nThe entire world at that time knew and feared Laban. Nobody until Jacob could survive his witchcraft.
\nEven though Jacob could have confronted Esau and win, he wanted to avoid negative outcome. Jacob was a person of purity and balance. He was full of Light and didn’t care about winning on the level of Malchut<\/a>. He wanted peace and truth.<\/p>\n

Before meeting with Esau, Jacob sent him gifts that included 550 different types of livestock. The first message was a message of power and no fear. It was the aspect of left column<\/a>. The second message of gifts was of peace offering. It was the aspect of the right column<\/a>.
\nCombining both aspects in balance diffused the hate and created the atmosphere of peace and balance, causing Esau to kiss Jacob.<\/p>\n

All wars and violent conflicts create negative outcome no matter how just is one side or the other. The outcome is death, comes from greed, envy and desires for the self alone. That includes small fights and anger. They create the aspect of black hole that sucks the Light from those involved and the environment, increasing negativity in the world.<\/p>\n
