26. דָּבָר אַחֵר וְעֵת לְכָל חֵפֶץ – מַה זֶּה עֵת? כַּכָּתוּב (תהלים קיט) עֵת לַעֲשׂוֹת לַה’ הֵפֵרוּ תוֹרָתֶךָ. וְכָתוּב (ויקרא יז) וְאַל יָבֹא בְכָל עֵת אֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ. וְהִיא הַדַּרְגָּה הַמְמֻנָּה, וְהִנֵּה פֵּרְשׁוּהָ. וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ עֵת הוּא הַמְמֻנֶּה לְכָל חֵפֶץ תַּחַת הַשָּׁמָיִם. וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ שְׁנָתַיִם יָמִים, מֵהַצַּד שֶׁל אוֹתוֹ קֵץ הַחֹשֶׁךְ רָאָה פַּרְעֹה בַּחֲלוֹמוֹ, וּמִשָּׁם יָדַע וְהִתְגַּלָּה לוֹ אוֹתוֹ הַחֲלוֹם.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Miketz<\/strong><\/p>\n

Genesis 41:1<\/a>
\n“וַיְהִי, מִקֵּץ שְׁנָתַיִם יָמִים; וּפַרְעֹה חֹלֵם, וְהִנֵּה עֹמֵד עַל-הַיְאֹר”
\n“After two whole years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile,”<\/p>\n

The Torah tells us the time of Pharaoh’s dream.<\/p>\n

The Zohar asks “What is ‘עת’ ‘time’?” and explains that ‘time’ is a level appointed over everything in the world of Machut.<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 3:1<\/a>
\n“ לַכֹּל, זְמָן; וְעֵת לְכָל-חֵפֶץ, תַּחַת הַשָּׁמָיִם”
\n“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-”<\/p>\n

Heaven is the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a>, and everything below it is subjected to the control of time.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 16:2<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה, דַּבֵּר אֶל-אַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ, וְאַל-יָבֹא בְכָל-עֵת אֶל-הַקֹּדֶשׁ”
\n“and YHVH<\/a> said unto Moses: ‘Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place”<\/p>\n

Even the High priest in the Holy Temple couldn’t enter the Holy of Holies anytime he wished to because if it was not the right time he would die.<\/p>\n

Psalms 119:126<\/a>
\n“ עֵת, לַעֲשׂוֹת לַיהוָה– הֵפֵרוּ, תּוֹרָתֶךָ.”
\n“time, to act for YHVH<\/a>, they have violated your Torah.”<\/p>\n

This verse begins with the word ‘time’, then a comma, and continues with ‘to act for YHVH<\/a>’. We can read it as ‘time’ is made for us to act, and connect to YHVH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

King David, the author of Psalms, explains that meaning in the verse that follows.
\nPsalms 119:127<\/a>
\n“ עַל-כֵּן, אָהַבְתִּי מִצְו‍ֹתֶיךָ– מִזָּהָב וּמִפָּז”
\n“Therefore I love Your commandments more than gold and even the purest gold.”<\/p>\n

As the king of Israel<\/a>, King David had an access to gold and pleasures of the world but his priorities were always about spiritual connections and following the Torah. We should have the same priorities and make connection to YHVH<\/a>, who is in ‘heavens’ and above time. Gold and all the riches of the world are under the government of ‘time’. Everything in Malchut<\/a> has temporary state of existence, except the soul that came to the body from heaven and above time. Following the Torah gives us access above time and benefits our souls in Malchut<\/a>, earning merits for the time when heaven and earth share continuous flow of Light, bringing state of immortality.<\/p>\n
