18. אָמַר לָהֶם הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וְכִי יֵשׁ בָּכֶם מָוֶת? שֶׁכָּתוּב (במדבר יט) אָדָם כִּי יָמוּת בְּאֹהֶל. \n19. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי בֵּאֵר פָּסוּק זֶה כְּשֶׁיָּרְדָה שְׁכִינָה לְגָלוּת מִצְרַיִם, וְרַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אָמַר, פָּסוּק זֶה עַל סוֹד יִחוּד הָאֱמוּנָה נֶאֱמַר. אִתִּי מִלְּבָנוֹן כַּלָּה, הַקּוֹל אָמַר לַדִּבּוּר אִתִּי, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהֲרֵי קוֹל בָּא לַדִּבּוּר, וּמַנְהִיגוֹ עִמּוֹ לִהְיוֹת כְּאֶחָד בְּלִי פֵרוּד כְּלָל, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁקּוֹל הוּא כְּלָל, דִּבּוּר הוּא פְּרָט, וְלָכֵן כְּלָל הִצְטָרֵךְ לַפְּרָט, וּפְרָט הִצְטָרֵךְ לַכְּלָל, שֶׁהֲרֵי אֵין קוֹל בְּלִי דִבּוּר, וְאֵין דִּבּוּר בְּלִי קוֹל. וְעַל זֶה אִתִּי מִלְּבָנוֹן כַּלָּה וְגוֹ’, שֶׁעִקַּר שְׁנֵיהֶם בָּאִים מִלְּבָנוֹן.<\/div>\n

After the angels asked to have the Torah God told them that the Torah had in it laws about death, sins, stealing, lying, and since the angels were created in perfect state they didn’t have the ability to do have negativity. The angels praised God and the Israelites<\/a> accepted it.
\n(Exodus 24:7<\/a>) “ וַיֹּאמְרוּ, כֹּל אֲשֶׁר-דִּבֶּר יְהוָה נַעֲשֶׂה וְנִשְׁמָע” “All that YHVH<\/a> has spoken we will do, and we will listen!”<\/p>\n

The angels don’t have judgment and couldn’t receive the Torah. The other nations didn’t want the Torah because it includes judgments. The Israelites<\/a> accepted it with faith<\/a> and declared that they will do as the Torah speaks. The action word came before the listening to indicate that they accepted the Torah with faith<\/a>.
\nAs we studied in DZ 2000, with faith<\/a> we can bridge between the lower and upper world. That made the souls of the Israelites<\/a> also on a higher level.<\/p>\n
