24. שֶׁכָּתוּב בַּשּׁוּנַמִּית, (מלכים-ב ד) וַתֹּאמֶר בְּתוֹךְ עַמִּי אָנֹכִי יֹשָׁבֶת. לֹא רוֹצָה לְהוֹצִיא אֶת עַצְמִי מִכְּלָל שֶׁל רַבִּים. בְּתוֹךְ עַמִּי יוֹשֶׁבֶת עַד יוֹם זֶה, וּבְתוֹךְ עַמִּי – בִּכְלָל אֶחָד נוֹדַעַת לְמַעְלָה. וְכָאן אִיּוֹב, כֵּיוָן שֶׁנּוֹדַע לְמַעְלָה וְנִרְשַׁם, מִיָּד הֶחֱזִיק בּוֹ הַמְקַטְרֵג וְאָמַר, הַחִנָּם יָרֵא אִיּוֹב אֱלֹהִים?! כָּל מַה שֶּׁפָּחַד מִמְּךָ וְהִתְחַזֵּק, לֹא לְחִנָּם עָשָׂה, הֲלֹא אַתָּה שַׂכְתָּ בַעֲדוֹ וּבְעַד וְגוֹ’. אֲבָל טֹל אֶת כָּל הַטּוּב שֶׁאַתָּה עוֹשֶׂה לוֹ, וּמִיָּד אִם לֹא עַל פָּנֶיךָ יְבָרְכֶךָּ. יַעֲזֹב אוֹתְךָ וְיִדְבַּק בַּצַּד הָאַחֵר, שֶׁהֲרֵי עַכְשָׁו בְּשֻׁלְחָנְךָ הוּא אוֹכֵל. סַלֵּק מִמֶּנּוּ אֶת שֻׁלְחָנְךָ, וְנִרְאֶה מִמִּי הוּא וְאֵיזֶה צַד יִדְבַּק.
\n25. מִיָּד – וַיֹּאמֶר ה’ אֶל הַשָּׂטָן הִנֵּה כָל אֲשֶׁר לוֹ בְּיָדֶךָ. לְהַרְאוֹת שֶׁיִּרְאַת אִיּוֹב לַקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא הוּא כְּדֵי לִשְׁמֹר עָשְׁרוֹ. וּמִכָּאן לָמַדְנוּ, שֶׁכָּל אוֹתָם הַיְּרֵאִים מֵהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מִשּׁוּם עָשְׁרָם אוֹ בְנֵיהֶם, זוֹ אֵינָהּ יִרְאָה כָּרָאוּי. וְעַל כֵּן קִטְרֵג אוֹתוֹ מְקַטְרֵג וְאָמַר, הַחִנָּם יָרֵא אִיּוֹב אֱלֹהִים הֲלֹא אַתָּה שַׂכְתָּ בַעֲדוֹ וְגוֹ’ מַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו בֵּרַכְתָּ. וְעַל כָּךְ הוּא יָרֵא מִמְּךָ. וְנִתְּנָה לוֹ רְשׁוּת לְקַטְרֵג בּוֹ וּלְהַרְאוֹת שֶׁלֹּא עָבַד אִיּוֹב אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בְּאַהֲבָה.<\/div>\n

Continued from previous DZ<\/p>\n

We read previously that God sent the Satan<\/a> to see Job as an example for a man with complete integrity, who fears God and stays away from evil.<\/p>\n

The Satan<\/a> responded:<\/p>\n

Job 1:9<\/a>
\n“וַיַּעַן הַשָּׂטָן אֶת-יְהוָה, וַיֹּאמַר: הַחִנָּם, יָרֵא אִיּוֹב אֱלֹהִים”
\n“Then Satan<\/a> answered YHVH<\/a>, “Does Job fear God for nothing?”
\n10: “הֲלֹא-את (אַתָּה) שַׂכְתָּ בַעֲדוֹ וּבְעַד-בֵּיתוֹ, וּבְעַד כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ–מִסָּבִיב: מַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו בֵּרַכְתָּ, וּמִקְנֵהוּ פָּרַץ בָּאָרֶץ”
\n10: “Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.”<\/p>\n

11: “But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!””
\n12: “Then the LORD said to Satan<\/a>, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan<\/a> departed from the presence of the LORD.”<\/p>\n

The Satan<\/a> immediately pointed to the weakness of people who have everything. They may give thanks to God for their good life but the moment they lose their wealth, they lose their faith<\/a> with it.<\/p>\n

In this story Job lost everything he had but he kept his faith<\/a>.
\nWe find many examples of people who lost their faith<\/a> the moment they lose something dear to them. Many people expect God to be their servant and provide them with everything they need.<\/p>\n

Adam and Eve had everything provided for them but they made a mistake and lost the direct connection to sustenance from God. They moved out from the place that was all good to a realm that requires work and efforts to have sustenance.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to correct the flaw that Adam and Eve caused in the world and go back to the ultimate state of existence, when God provides for all without the process of earning.<\/p>\n

We came to this world to work and correct the channel of the complete sustenance that comes directly from the higher levels. We can’t expect the ultimate and spiritual payment until we finish the work, not before.<\/p>\n

I know people who were super rich and lost everything for one reason or another. I see them as ‘blessed’ because the great lack of material wealth can be filled with faith<\/a> and Light of the Creator. These people born with a big vessel and greater opportunities to accumulate wealth but at the same time they have to use it to transform their vessel to one of sharing and help many others.<\/p>\n
