The Holy Spirit can be achieved with full pay, great efforts, purity of the vessel, and great desire in the heart.
\nIf one achieves or is beginning to achieve the Holy Spirit he must conduct all his actions with purity and follow the ways of the Torah. The Holy Spirit will leave the person immediately when he doesn’t keep his purity of vessel and actions.<\/p>\n

Many students of Kabbalah wish to have the spiritual level and abilities of the great Kabbalists. It is possible but the price is very high as well as the efforts needed to maintain such spiritual level.<\/p>\n

Exodus 25:2<\/a>
\n“דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְיִקְחוּ-לִי תְּרוּמָה: מֵאֵת כָּל-אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִדְּבֶנּוּ לִבּוֹ, תִּקְחוּ אֶת-תְּרוּמָתִי”
\n“Speak to the people of Israel<\/a>, that they take for me a contribution. From every man (אִישׁ) whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar tells us that the contributions for the building of the Holy Tabernacle were taken from people at the level of אִיש, pronounced ‘Ish’. There are five word synonyms to ‘Man’. Kabbalah teaches us that each of them represents a state of purity of the vessel. (See Zohar Tazria #106).<\/p>\n

The English translation for all equal to all Hebrew words, ‘man’.
\nLower levels – אנוש – ‘Enosh’
\nSecond level – גבר – ‘Gever’
\nThird level – איש – ‘Ish’
\nHighest level – אדם – ‘Adam’<\/p>\n

A person should remove the desire for the self when giving to the Light in order to have a better affinity with the Light that comes back into his life. The level of איש, ‘Ish’ is of a person who controls his desires and looks for the Light. ‘Adam’ אדם is the highest state that represents a pure vessel with only desires for the Light.<\/p>\n

Giving with purity brings pure Light that can manifest in life what we need most and not as we desire. One may give money and expect more money but maybe it is better for him to get better health or strengthen relationship in the family, or anything else that we can not see with our limited mind and senses. We have to give and trust the Light for what is better for us.<\/p>\n

To make it easy to give without personal desires I suggest breaking the full tithe into smaller amounts and give frequently. Once or more times a week. Giving on Fridays, which is the aspect of Yessod<\/a>, helps with preparing the vessel to receive the Light of Shabbat that comes from Binah<\/a>. The habit of frequent giving ‘trains’ the heart to give without personal agenda, elevating the action to a higher level and allow greater and purer Light to manifest in our lives.<\/p>\n
