Everything other than the pure meditation and prayer is impurity and loss of the spiritual connection to the other side. In many cases, it brings judgments on the people who break the connection for themselves and others.
Prayers to satisfy selfish desire (pleasures of this world) is like taking Light without a process, that is an aspect of rape that brings a lot of judgments.

At the time of the Torah reading people should have the consciousness of standing at Mount Sinai to receive the Torah. Before the reading we read Berich Sheme from the Zohar to connect us to that event. The process of seven readings helps us draw the Light into our vessels. Interrupting the reading with words and or different consciousness makes us lose the great Light of the Torah that is available only on Shabbat. To protect the consciousness from getting distracted, one should follow the reading from the book.

If you are in a synagogue where people converse and gossip freely during the prayers then ask the head of the synagogue to fix the situation. If not corrected, look for another place.
The synagogue is not a social gathering place, it’s a place to pray and remove darkness from the self, the community and the world. Unfortunately, we lose to the other side when people come on Shabbat to meet with their friends and catch up with the latest gossip. There’s no Tzadik and no Light in such place. I remember Rav Berg saying that the synagogue is a ‘War Room’ and the focus should be on the connection, nothing else, otherwise we lose to the <a class="glossaryLink" aria-describedby="tt" data-cmtooltip="
Sama-l

Aka Satan, Snake, Angel of Death, Evil-sideSamael סַמָּאֵל Samma-el (We don't use the proper spelling because it's better not to say this name).Sama-l is the Minister of the other side. The question that you should ask yourself: Is your synagogue a war room or a social club.
Having a social club is good and fun but inside the synagogue during prayers it is judgment.

This study could be hard to follow for many Kabbalah students who are coming with desire to get some Light and improve their lives.
I would suggest to students to put this in their minds. If you come to study Kabbalah in order to receive Light then follow the Zohar and its teaching because they are the roots. Until Mashaich comes and God replaces the Torah, there’s no ‘cherry picking’. All the sacred sources are 100% valid. Any ‘modification’ can not be accepted, like no one would dare to change a letter in the Torah scroll.

Because I don’t check who is coming to my (online) classroom and not, I am free to be true to the Zohar study. I don’t pick and choose what would please my students. That is why I follow the Zohar by its paragraphs sequence, no skipping.

My ideal synagogue has two rooms. The main room is for prayers only. Not even a single word other than the prayers or Torah reading. The lecture would be directly related to the Zohar portion of the Shabbat or Holiday. That true connection would create a Tzadik, which is the unification with Yessod that draws the Light to the world. Social Unity is wonderful but without a ‘Tzadik’ not much Light is drawn to the world. The unity with prayers and Zohar is pure Light and that is what we need the most to make positive change in the world.

The second room would be isolated from the prayer room and designed for social gathering, before and after the prayers. It would help in strengthening and adding positive bond between the members of the congregation that will enhance the prayers. This room would have food and drinks (of course) and used as a library and a place for spontaneous study groups that go over the Daily Zohar weekly studies. With proper resources it could be opened 24×7 for people to come and study Zohar. This idea is free for all to use with my love and blessings.

{||}

Click/Touch here to listen to the Daily Zohar

<img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-21" title="Daily Zohar Pinchas-2049 Scanning from right to left top to bottom" src="https://staging.dailyzohar.com/wp-content/uploads/parashot/images/dzp-2049.gif" alt="Holy Zohar text.
