42. פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (בראשית ד) וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ יָמִים וַיָּבֵא קַיִן מִפְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה מִנְחָה לַה’. וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ יָמִים, סוֹד הוּא. מִקֵּץ יָמִים וְלֹא מִקֵּץ יָמִין. דָּחָה לְקֵץ הַיָּמִין, וְקֵרַב לְקֵץ הַיָּמִים. וּכְבָר פֵּרַשְׁנוּ, שֶׁכָּתוּב (דניאל יב) וְאַתָּה לֵךְ לַקֵּץ. אָמַר הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְדָנִיֵּאל, וְאַתָּה לֵךְ לַקֵּץ. אָמַר לוֹ, לְאֵיזֶה קֵץ? לְקֵץ הַיָּמִים אוֹ לְקֵץ הַיָּמִין? עַד שֶׁאָמַר לוֹ, לְקֵץ הַיָּמִין.

\nZohar Tetzaveh<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Zohar teaches us the difference between ‘End of Days’ and ‘End of the Right’. In Hebrew ‘days’ is ‘יָמִים’, numerically 100 and ‘right’ is ‘יָּמִין’ , numerically 110. The ‘end of days’ connects to the other side<\/a> like the end of Malchut<\/a>, which is the tenth and the lower level.
\nThe ‘End of the Right’ is the column that connects us to the upper three sefirot and the revelation of Chassadim<\/a> in the world.<\/p>\n

Genesis 4:3<\/a>
\n“ וַיְהִי, מִקֵּץ יָמִים; וַיָּבֵא קַיִן מִפְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה, מִנְחָה–לַיהוָה.”
\n“So it came about in the end of days that Cain brought an offering to YHVH<\/a> of the fruit of the ground.”<\/p>\n

Cain brought offering to YHVH<\/a> from the lower level of Malchut<\/a>, the ground and as we read later, God didn’t respect it.<\/p>\n

The prophet Daniel received a prophecy about the end of time and he didn’t understand what type of ‘end’ will be until he was told that the end will be of the ‘Right’. ‘Right’ is the last word of the last verse of the book of Daniel.<\/p>\n

Daniel 12:13<\/a>
\n“וְאַתָּה, לֵךְ לַקֵּץ; וְתָנוּחַ וְתַעֲמֹד לְגֹרָלְךָ, לְקֵץ הַיָּמִין”
\n“and you, go to the end; and rest and rise for your allotted portion, for the end of the right.”<\/p>\n

Psalms 39:5<\/a>
\n“הוֹדִיעֵנִי יְהוָה, קִצִּי–וּמִדַּת יָמַי מַה-הִיא; אֵדְעָה, מֶה-חָדֵל אָנִי”
\n““O YHVH<\/a>, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting (also means end of existence. Z.) I am!”<\/p>\n

Days are also aspects of the seven sefirot of Chessed<\/a> to Malchut<\/a>. King David, who is the aspect of Malchut<\/a>, was born to die immediately but Adam gave him 70 years of his life. King David prayed to God to let him know what type of end will he have. He asked to know if he revealed enough Light to merit the ‘end’ that is of the ‘Right’ and not the ‘end’ of no existence ‘חָדֵל’.
\nKing David knew the gift of life that he received from Adam and knew that only with the Light he can have existence, in his life on earth and in the world to come.<\/p>\n

When he asked “what is the measure of my days” he wanted to know if he built a complete vessel for the seven sefirot, giving him the Light and merits to rise at the ‘End of the Right’.(Read more about this verse from King David in Zohar Vayechi #500)<\/p>\n

Every one of us should ask himself every day if he worked enough of his Tikkun and has the merits for a proper ‘end’. Will he reach the end of his physical days knowing that he filled his ‘days’ with Light and now is going to ‘rest’ until the time he rises to the ‘Right’.<\/p>\n
