\n40. אֶלָּא, כֵּיוָן שֶׁהַמַּשְׁחִית יָרַד לָעוֹלָם, מִי שֶׁאֵינוֹ סוֹגֵר אֶת עַצְמוֹ וְנִמְצָא לְפָנָיו בְּגָלוּי – מִתְחַיֵּב בְּנַפְשׁוֹ, שֶׁהוּא הָרַג אֶת עַצְמוֹ. מִנַּיִן לָנוּ? מִלּוֹט, שֶׁכָּתוּב (בראשית יט) הִמָּלֵט עַל נַפְשֶׁךָ אַל תַּבִּיט אַחֲרֶיךָ. מָה הַטַּעַם אַל תַּבִּיט אַחֲרֶיךָ? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהַמַּשְׁחִית הוֹלֵךְ אַחַר כְּתֵפוֹ, וְאִם מַחֲזִיר רֹאשׁוֹ וּמִתְבּוֹנֵן בּוֹ פָּנִים בְּפָנִים, יָכוֹל לְהַזִּיק לוֹ.
\n41. וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב, (שם) וַיִּסְגֹּר ה’ בַּעֲדוֹ, שֶׁלֹּא יִתְרָאֶה לִפְנֵי הַמַּשְׁחִית וְלֹא יִשְׁלֹט עָלָיו מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת. וְעַד שֶׁהָיוּ טְמוּנִים, מֵתוּ שְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר אֲנָשִׁים בָּעִיר. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, בָּרוּךְ הָרַחֲמָן שֶׁלֹּא הִסְתַּכֵּל בִּדְיוֹקְנֵיכֶם מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת.<\/div>\n

\nGenesis 7:1<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה לְנֹחַ, בֹּא-אַתָּה וְכָל-בֵּיתְךָ אֶל-הַתֵּבָה”
\n“Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household”<\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon quotes this verse and says that God could protect Noah anywhere he wanted and bring the flood onto the rest of the world. There are evidence in the Bible to show that God did things along this idea. Rabbi Shimon explains that because the angel of death<\/a> was in the world, Noah needed to be protected in a closed area so there would be no direct connection with him. For that reason Lot was told not to look back at Sodom and Gomorrah.
\nGenesis 19:17<\/a>
\n“ וַיְהִי כְהוֹצִיאָם אֹתָם הַחוּצָה, וַיֹּאמֶר הִמָּלֵט עַל-נַפְשֶׁךָ–אַל-תַּבִּיט אַחֲרֶיךָ, וְאַל-תַּעֲמֹד בְּכָל-הַכִּכָּר: הָהָרָה הִמָּלֵט, פֶּן-תִּסָּפֶה”
\n“When they had brought them outside, one said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, and do not stay anywhere in the valley; escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away.””<\/p>\n

\n“וַיִּסְגֹּר יְהוָה, בַּעֲדוֹ.”
\n“and YHVH<\/a> shut him in.”<\/p>\n

God closes Noah in the Ark to protect him from the angel of death<\/a> that was roaming the world.<\/p>\n

The eyes are the highest sense in the body. It operates on pure energy. Whatever we see translates into electrical current that affects our brain. Negative images and situations connect us to their source, which is negative.
\nWhat we see can bring us joy, pleasures and also disgust and sickness. Bringing back negative memories also connects us to the original events and the feeling we experienced during that time. We should collect in our brain only positive experiences.<\/p>\n

I am against watching news on TV, unless there is a live and important events. The news focus mostly on negative situations that is best to avoid. If you drive by an accident on the road, keep moving forward without looking. Collect positive memories and scan Zohar to gradually erase negative images that were engraved in your mind before.<\/p>\n
