34. וְעַל כֵּן יְבַקֵּשׁ אָדָם מֵהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא שֶׁיַּזְמִין לוֹ כְּלִי כָּשֵׁר, שֶׁלֹּא יִפְגֹּם זַרְעוֹ. מִי שֶׁמּוֹצִיא זֶרַע בִּכְלִי שֶׁלֹּא כָשֵׁר, פּוֹגֵם אֶת זַרְעוֹ. אוֹי לְמִי שֶׁפּוֹגֵם אֶת זַרְעוֹ. וּמַה בִּשְׁאָר בְּנֵי אָדָם כָּךְ – בְּכֹהֵן שֶׁעוֹמֵד לְמַטָּה כְּמוֹ שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה בִּקְדֻשָּׁה עֶלְיוֹנָה עַל אַחַת כַּמָּה וְכַמָּה.

\nZohar Emor<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the portion of Emor, God gives specific instructions to the priests<\/a> on how to keep themselves pure so they can be channels of his Light to the world. We studied some of the instructions on DZ 2122. And here the instruction is related to the ‘seeds’ of the priest.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 21:15<\/a>
\n“וְלֹא-יְחַלֵּל זַרְעוֹ, בְּעַמָּיו: כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה, מְקַדְּשׁוֹ”
\n“And he shall not profane his seed among his people; for I am YHVH<\/a> who sanctify him”<\/p>\n

The ‘seeds’ come from Yessod<\/a> into the vessel, which is Malchut<\/a>. Even if the priest is married to a pure virgin woman he’s still responsible to deliver his seeds with purity. If the seeds are corrupted, even a pure vessel won’t be able to manifest them as they should be.<\/p>\n

The important lesson here is that if we ask for the Light and it comes to us, we need to use it with purity and manifest ‘life’ with it.<\/p>\n

Our desires and spiritual connections create vessels for the Light. Even criminals get the energy they want because they created vessels for it.
\nOne of the miracles of life is the process of bringing life and creating continuation in the world. A man and a woman come together with the desire and the Light is given to them. The Light transforms into matter (seeds) that creates life in the vessel.<\/p>\n

I heard from Rabbi Yohanan Banon (http:\/\/zohar-ahaim.com\/) something with a deep meaning. To sustain the corporeal body we need to kill before eating. It’s not just about killing animals for eating but also fruits, grains and everything else that needs to be disconnected from its life source in order to be consumed by us and benefit our bodies.<\/p>\n

Using the Light we receive comes with great responsibility. The Light is holy and like the priests<\/a> we are expected to be holy.<\/p>\n
